How is this possible? Scandalous!! I think mine is legit as NCP is who Torbay council use. There has been so much bad press about them down here. You cant park anywhere now and they dont know the meaning of common sense.

Yep I'm going to do it now. Parking ticket was for 70 quid (35 if you pay within 14 days) It does say if you appeal and fail you will normally be offered the 14 day offer again. So nothing to lose. Must get it in the post now !

Saturday evening we parked in a local car park which leads onto Broadsands Beach (beautiful spot) Hubby was desperate for a pee! I bought a car park ticket (1.60 night time charge) I was just taking my ticket when I noticed on the top of the ticket machine a small notice informing people that the car park is locked shut at 8pm. It was just before 8 so as we didnt want to get locked in for the night we drove out and parked just outside on double yellows. Its a quiet lane, we werent obstructing anything. We would have driven off but by then hubby was nearly wetting himself So we stuck our ticket on the windscreen and walked through the car park to use the loo, of course the toilets were closed! There were a few people about o we had to walk up the hill and on abit so hubby could pee behind a bush When we came back at 8.12pm to find the parking ticket stuck there, I was hopping mad. Ok I know we were parked on double yellows but we'd clearly showed we had bought a ticket for parking, I rekon its very harsh. Hubby says not worth appealing, just pay it as we were at fault. But I'm going to give it a go. I once got him off jury service with one of my letters!! EDIT: After reading that over again....NO it isnt a local dogging spot and NO we didnt go there for a snuggle either (just incase any of you have any ideas)

Anyone ever appealed a parking ticket and won? I'm just about to compose my pitiful letter now!

I wont bother reading all this thread about a completely vile drink! But our dear Scottish friend is partial to Glenfidditch (sp), which is what we normally buy him for a gift. The other night he was drinking Highland Park which he was obviously enjoying very much due to the tumbler sized measures he was downing (and I'm not kidding) How he was actually still standing when we left is incredible. (He is also our dentist and a very good sober one, but my god when he's off duty can he drink)!

I have a collection of old films for a 'vampire fest' movie week. Lost Boys (I can watch that again and again) Lost Boys 2 (never seen it though I gather its very poor) Bram Stoker's Dracula.Wes Craven's Dracula 1 and 2. Twilight. Van Helsing. (I watched Interview with a vampire recently) I also have the complete collection of Angel to watch too!!!!!! I've gone vampire crazy since I watched the entire Buffy compilation

I am working tonight, start at 9.45. I will listen to 5live before and on the way in and then put sky sports news on when I get into work and If we lose I will be miserable as hell so just aswell Im at work.

Unfortunate choice in name Yes so I gather Still ive used this name for years, the only other name I wanted was Looneytoon but at the time it was taken. Maybes I'll change to it

Ohh forgot to add I have a lateral thigh trainer...I can use it whilst watching TV and its pretty good. (as opposed to sitting on my arse watching TV)! Only thing is after awhile my left knee aches whereas it doesnt with walking.
