My mother (grhs) hoyed out my toon top from 1980-ish (the one with the shiny white circle with the blue star in). I was gutted when I discovered the crime. I see t/r is banging on about her 'toys' again up there I had to bite my tongue like. Then I had a word with myself and realised it wasn't really worth getting upset about.

Is there any room to walk in your house?! Or are things piled up into aisles? He He. Im quite tidy, I somehow manage to cram it all away The only thing that bugs me is Hubby has raced for years and has accumulated a stack of tacky looking trophys!!! His 'best' ones are on show in the lounge but the rest are put away but anymore of them and I've told him they'll have to go up the garage on shelves there!! EDIT: I even have my first mobile, a 3310 and around 20 various covers, including a Toon one that I absolutely LOVED!!! there is no way on earth I'd get rid of that!

God! I hang on to loads of stuff, I'm very sentimental. I keep all my special cards, I have train tickets from trips to Newcastle, match tickets, wembley stuff, concert tickets and tour T shirts I'd never wear again (I'd feel a right prat now walking around with Metallica on me shirt or even my Def Leppard Hysteria tour T shirt on ) But I cant part with any of it. I have a lock of hair from my sons first ever trim!! (He's nearly 25 now) I keep old football shirts, I even have toys and teddies that were mine as a child! The only stupid thing I did was to throw away a box full of original star wars stuff, Darth Vadar the lot

Thoroughly enjoyed 'James May night' too. Him and Oz in their wine/beer program, followed by new Top Gear then the Apollo program which was very interesting. I turned over to BBC 4 and watched all the training James had to go through before his flight. I was thinking, he's experienced some amazing things for his various shows, including the flight in the Typhoon at incredible speed for his television programme, James May's 20th Century. then there was his drive in the Veyron and the trip to the North Pole with Clarkson and he went in a jump jet Basically all three Top Gear presenters get paid large amounts of money to fullfill their dreams, blow things up, go fast and generally lark about having a great time!

Thanks Cath, I do appreciate all of your thoughtful words. So often, you lot have cheered me up when I've felt crappy and made me really laugh. By the way I love all your 'arty' black and white pics of little man but that one is my favourite, he looks so wise and so cuddly.

Sorry TR. Thank you sweetie. Lost my little brother nearly 2 years ago. The most innocuous things still sometimes catch me unawares. Nowt to be ashamed of if you shed a tear now and then. Days like today and birthdays can be tough at first, but the old cliché of thinking about happy memories does actually work. Keep on keeping on TR. You're a darling, so sorry to hear about your brother. Thats so awful and so wrong I dont think we ever get over our losses but time makes it easier to bear.

Sorry for your loss, Toon. My pops and I basically didn't speak for 10 years, but we're cool now and I dread the day I put him in the ground. He's a good guy. As for what I got him, I got lucky. A work friend of mine from Pittsburgh went back to visit just a couple weeks ago during the Pens Cup run. My dad's a massive Pens fan, so I had my friend pick up a bunch of "locals only" type shit that he can't just find on NHL.com. Just a bunch of random shit really, but I think he'll be pleased. Thanks, 10 years is along time, thats a real shame, make the most of the time you have now, which I'm sure you do.

I'd hazard a guess that was the only time he was "The" Stig. I'm sure there are several of them. Well yes that was the 'joke' of it all really. Its common knowledge that the Stig is Ben Collins.

Absolutely nowt to be embarrassed about there pet. Sorry to hear about your loss as well. Likewise. Aw thats nice of you thanks. A long way from over it yet (there was a post mortem and then an inquest in December too so it went on and on. Yeah I wasnt embarrassed about getting upset just not one for public dislays of emotion. Finally got father in law a card in Tescos Shoved one in quick with the shopping so I didnt have to ponder much! What to get him is a nightmare, he is diabetic so no chocs. He's had several strokes so really doesnt do much and he's got everything. I rekon the best thing we can do is to take him out for a drive, if we can get him in the car!

Sorry TR. Thank you sweetie.

My dad died back in August after a particulary distressing 6 months. (for him and us) Anyhow a couple of days ago I went in a card shop to choose a card for my father in law, instantly saw one that would have been spot on for my dear ole Dad, so had to get out quick as I was welling up Felt abit of a prat really, but just couldnt stay in there.

Might have a flick through the Jeff Stelling book this afternoon when I'm out. I had a quick flick through and it looks like it may be quite interesting. Wrapped it up now as its a gift for my son

I am going to bed shortly, I have no doubt it will be all sorted by the time I get up at 4.30

Unbelievable. Canny little weekend that man. Away to Cardiff on Saturday 12th, then a couple of days on the hoy in blackpool before the game on Tuesday night. Cardiff then Blackpool I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a shitty stick. How about Nottingham for a couple of days on the 17th October then on to sunny Scunthorpe for the 20th? or Coventry and Barnsley in December? or Derby and Swansea in February? or Bristol and Donny in March? Toontastic Beano? Nah You wont be able to beat coming down for the Plymouth game in April and spending a few days in sunny Torquay
-
I always had you down as a fan cottaging. In the pre-op days with the Quo?
-
Still looking forward to this season though! Been looking at Torquay's fixtures in a new league too. There used to be a championship round up program Sat or Sun mornings? I'll have to start watching that too. Disapointed I have to wait untill April for the Plymouth game.

I've been saying that since we went down

These fashionable 'gardens' with the chippings, trendy pot plants, stones and decking look fine but to me they lack charm and individuality, I find them cold. I prefer a 'real' cottage style garden.
