Any ideas on when the full PC version wll become 'acquirable'?
-
The episode was fantastic; 1 question answered, another dozen asked - best one yet for me. One thing I found strange is that Desmond has washing up liquid and fresh fruit down there; it would surely suggest that either (a) he hasn't been there very long (which would seem very unlikely) or ( there's a second entrance/exit to the hatch somewhere. If it is ( though, it would completely defeat the object of sealing the hatch so tightly from above, and putting 'quarantine' on the door. Why bother if you can easily get in or out from elsewhere? It doesn't make sense.

Heh, that video's quite amusing actually

Real first name: Andrew Nickname: Andy Age: 22 Occupation: Network Support Analyst Location: Originally from Stanley in Co. Durham, nowadays all over the country. Language(s) spoken: English (basic) Avatart - why? Originally a random choice, now it’s basically just tradition. Previous avatarts? None which were vastly different. Tell us when you first joined the boards? Last year (same day as N-O launched). No idea why. Board highlights? PhpBB: critical error Board lowlights? None which I could particularly give a toss about. What would you be doing if you weren't doing your current job? The same thing for someone different. Pets? Dog. I play a bit like.... Van Nistelrooy. Football heroes? Ronaldinho, Maradonna, Zidane, Shearer, Beardsley, Van Basten, Maldini, Ronaldo amongst others… Football villains? Gullit. Best advice given? “The glass isn’t half empty, nor is it half full. It’s at 50% capacity.” Ideal partner? Angelina Jolie. Ideal dinner date? Craig from Big Brother, so I could hastily poison the cuntfully annoying ponce to his long overdue, painful death. Allegedly. Ideal meal? Steak and Chips Can you cook? I can cook what I need to cook, and no more… Current wheels? Ford Focus Biggest influence? Probably my Dad. TV programmes? Lost, Scrubs, Arrested Development, The Office and Top Gear to name but a few… Burger and chips or fish and chips? Fish and Chips. Chinese or indian? What do you order? Neither, I’d rather stick a large plastic bag over my mouth and slowly but surely SUFFOCATE. Favourite tunes? Too many to mention… Possibly either Citizen Erased or Stockholm Syndrome by Muse. Abi Titmuss or Jodi Marsh? Titmuss, at a push. George Clooney or Bradley Pitt? Clooney. Favourite film? Don’t have any particular favourite. If I won a million pounds....I’d buy a house, a car; and various other forms of nothingness. Age first drunk alcohol? First drink? 15. LCL I think; can’t really remember. Ever suspended/expelled from school? No. Favourite insult? I prefer put-downs to insults. Not a lot of people know that...... Was a TV show broadcast on BBC1 in 1998. Most you've ever spent on an item of clothes? One hundred and fifty English pounds. How many pairs of shoes do you own? 3 (THREE) I'm obsessed with..... Wasting time on the Internet when I should be working… In 5 years time, I hope to be.... 27 years old, with a bit of luck.

Usually just the normal one in internet explorer when a page isn't available/working and occasionally just a blank white screen as if it almost worked but not quite. Then all of a sudden it'll work and be fine! 34829 Possibly just DNS errors then, I think. If it happens again just use ctrl+f5 to refresh the page, and it should sort it.

What's the error message you're getting?

Seen this a while back. It makes a noticable speed difference, but it does this by absolutely hammering the hell out of the server it's connecting to. 30 requests multiplied by the number of users doing this = a LOT of strain on the server (bearing in mind that 5 requests p/user is typical).

Not a movie obviously, but Gervais as David Brent. Nobody else could have played the role to the same effect.

Erm... I have an incredibly dry and sarcastic sense of humour, which no doubt makes me come across slightly arrogant at times. This doesn't bother me in the slightest like. I have a low level of natural stamina, which means that if I go a week or two without a reasonable amount of exercise, it takes me about a month to get back to where I was beforehand. I can’t stand doing mundane, boring, pointless things; to the point where I probably piss other people off at times (namely my employers). I’m also too laid back. When someone is irritating me or boring me or something, I feel the need to tell them, rather than just pretend to be interested or whatever. I have a habit of posting on internet messageboards at 12am, when I have to be up at 5.30am in the morning.

I think that only works if you type in things like "bomb", "kill the president", "pentagon", "hijack the aircraft" etc, so we should be safe.
-
Might be wrong, but the "None; Scottish football is completely and utterly DISMAL" option appears to be missing from the poll? Unless it comes under "other"?
-
I'd imagine he's just guessing like the rest of us - tbh I'm not even convinced that the people who are supposed to be dealing with his injury know exactly what the problem is, or how long it'll take to recover. It's a complete shambles.
-
The most worrying statistic I've heard, is that in the last 37 games Souness has been in charge of, we've only picked up 40 points. That = relegation form.
-
You build a formation around the players you have in your squad - Charlton have the players to make a 4-5-1 formation work effectively. We don't. Simple as that.
-
After one game you can tell all that? Right little soothsayers and no mistake eh. Seriously I think he is a good player but how you can judge someone like that already is slightly disconcerting. Hell if we are going on a game by game basis to determine things, this weekend Robert got an assist, Luque didn't. Therefore Robert reigns supreme. Just as nonsensical as your support of Luque. 20873 or the fact i've watched him perform over the years in La Liga 20880 Exactly. There is a footballing world outside of the Premiership you know, Bottled Dog?
-
Well, yeah; you get more time on the ball in La Liga, and the general tempo of the game is completely different to that of games played in the Premiership, where the football is far more direct...
-
I'm not even sure exactly what it is that Faye does; he can't pass, he can't tackle, he doesn't track back, he isn't pacey, his technique is woeful, he can't shoot, he's very average in the air for his height, he's quite weak for his physique, and so on and so forth... I honestly can't think of any strengths in his game whatsoever....
-
He scores more goals, he's quicker, he has more flair; he's just generally a more complete player.
-
He was far from magnificent today, but to be fair, he has only been in the country for two days. Players from La Liga generally need longer to settle than those from other countries; the hard-tackling, quick pace of the premiership is a far cry from the slow paced, technical style of football played in Spain... If and when he adapts, he'll be a better footballer for us than Robert ever was...
-
I agree; the amount of times he stands 10 feet away from the man he should be marking is ridiculous, he lets the winger get a cross in every time. He's generally awful going forward as well; especially his crossing.
-
Yeah it is, but I wouldn't say it's really worth paying for it unless your a regular gamer or whatever.
-
Erm... A new suit for an upcoming job interview A new pair of shoes for aforementioned interview A mars bar Expensive day tbh.
-
That would probably be my biggest gripe with him. Well, that and the fact that he's a shambolic liability at times.

In XP, right click on 'my computer', and click 'properties'. Click on the 'advanced' tab, and under 'performance' click the 'settings' button. On the new window that pops-up, click on the 'advanced' tab, and under 'virtual memory' click 'change'. Make note as to whether you virtual memory is currently set as 'custom size' or 'system managed size'; if it's custom size, be sure to make note of the numbers in the 'initial size' and 'maximum size' boxes. Click on 'no paging file' and click 'set'. Keep pressing the various 'apply' and 'okay' buttons until you're asked to restart your machine; do so. When you system loads back up, go back to the virtual memory settings page, and set the values back to what they were before you reset them. Click 'apply' etc. and it'll be done...
