    Isegrim

He's invading Poland as we speak. 30 miles from Warsaw now.
  2. It works for me. I use it every time I get that kind of sore throat (about 4-5 times a winter), and the success rate is pretty good.
  3. Bob, I don't think your posts get the recognition they deserve. Not every joke you post on here is even remotely funny, and some are downright awful (as is this one), but still - the first thing I look out for when I log on to General Chat is your 'smeeagain' threads. Thanks and keep it up!
  4. This is depressing the life out of me.
  5. Meenzer, was it you who posted the "Create your own Daily Mail story" link a while ago? This one reads just like one of those. "What will they ban next, snow?"
  6. Carr isn't in the squad, is he? I think Beye will play centre-back with Geremi playing at right-back. It would make sense. Viduka and Martins should play up front and Smith shouldn't be in the first XI.
  7. Redefining his identity now, is he? He's now first and foremost a "northern man". I'm still over the moon we don't have to put up with his ridiculous comments any more.
  8. What a load of bollocks. They seem to be able to get away with anything.
  9. I just posted a thread (that seems to have been deleted for some reason - along with on about those Scottish heart attack data being bollocks) about the Canada stun gun death. Guy was tasered on video and died: Video: http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_70...sb=1&news=1 Story: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7095875.stm They aren't "safe" or even non-lethal, just safer and less lethal than conventional guns. And as I've said before we've already had our first police stun gun related death in the UK. That's horrible.

    Häppy Purzelbaum, alter Knabe!
  11. I'm not sure tbh. I don't think Owen is the sort of striker that suffers from a lack of confidence - his poor form was probably still down to a lack of match fitness. It takes quite a long time to get back to full fitness and sharpness when you've been out for a year. Nah mate, everyone (imo) suffers from a lack of confidence from time to time although I'm not doubting his mental strength. I just think the fact he's not the player he was. When he came here he wasn't the whippet he'd once been but he had a great turn of pace. Since his last inujry I think he's lost that. All that combine with a lack of confidence and the team playing poorly makes it tough for him. I think he'd do well coming off the bench for a game or two at the very least. I agree with your point he takes a while to get back to sharpness when he's been out btw. I agree about his loss of pace, from what I've seen, he's definitely lost a yard or two. He's 28 next month as well - I still think of him as a fairly young player. Shame.

  13. What are the odds that Owen plays against Croatia, and then is out for us for 6 weeks ? Exactly what I was thinking.
  14. I'm actually quite nervous about tomorrow. Watching the Russia match will be painful. What are people's predictions then? I reckon there's virtually no chance of Macedonia beating Croatia, but I'm hoping for a 1-1 in Tel Aviv.
  15. Benayoun's injury really is a nightmare from an England point of view.
