It would be fantastic to get three points, especially as Fulham at home is our next game. We could really get off to a great start this time, which would make for a nice change. Hopefully Shola will be fit for Sunday.

How stupid is that?

President Shepherd? 184837 I've just watched the video of the interview on .cock, its fairly safe to say that Martins didn't understand a word of the Geordie interviewer ! He just kept mumbling the standard generic new signing cliche's at one point the interviewer asks, "have you spoken with Emre or Baba about newcastle united ?" Martins reply's "no" "what do you know about newcastle united?" "well Emre and Babayaro have told me lots of good things about the club" 184848

I didn't see yesterday's game, but over the course of a season and with us playing two strikers up front, I still think he'd offer a lot more than Milner. Anyway, taking injuries and suspensions into account, I think Solano will still have a big role to play this season, even if he's not first choice anymore. It's not like he's had a particularly bad start to the season either, it's just that he's the one who has probably suffered most from us not having any mobile strikers, and presumably that's why he's suddenly being talked about as if he's past it. N'Zogbia and Duff definitely looks like the way to go if everyone is fit though.

Got the ball tbh 184556

And done fuck all... I can see him doing well tonight though.

I assume it's a word play on Bowyer being a Cockney, i.e. anyone born within the sound of Bow bell. Not a very good headline tbh.

£2.5m Still, I suppose it's better than a loan deal. As has been said though, hopefully we will try to replace him until the end of the month. Some sort of short-term deal for an experienced player would be good.

Luque up front on his own it is then.

I have to agree totally. The likes of Abramovich, Lerner & Gaydamak are running their respective clubs on what appears to be personal wealth and consequently their primary objective is to improve the football on the pitch. I can't help but think if someone like the Belgravia Group were to own us, they'd be thinking of money-making first and football second. 181278 Thats my fear too. 181290 Thirded.

Fucking typical.

YouTube? It's no wonder we haven't brought anyone in if he's still wasting his time chasing Klose. Sounds like Kuyt all over again.
-
Bad news. Get well soon Bobby.

Just got back and seen that Spurs lost, get in. I'm really worried about our injury situation though - Butt, Moore, Carr, Babayaro, Emre and Ameobi all took knocks/were injured today, that's half the team FFS!
-
Any chances of MattM4 posting a few Shola photos? Babayaro struggling as well? For fuck's sake, we've been reduced to about two fit defenders after 80 minutes of the new season.
-
Fuck. Luque on for Shola?
-
Fucking GET IN.
-
Oh fuck off.
-
Solano clears off the line from De Zeujueeuuw.
-
Villa 1-0 up at Arsenal.
-
Thompson is a fucking idiot. Taylor on for Moore. Carr is apparently carrying a slight injury, but playing on.
-
Scott Parker, 1-0! Get in.
-
Sheffield United were 1-0 up at home to Liverpool up until a few minutes ago, shame.

Team: Given; Carr, Moore, Bramble, Babayaro; Solano, Parker, Butt, Emre, Duff; Ameobi. Subs: Harper, Taylor, N'Zogbia, Milner, Luque. No Chimbonda for Wigan, Louis Valencia starts in his place.
