1. Bit harsh on Souness tbh. 154531

To be honest, he did rape him. It's a shame Henman couldn't go further in the tournament, he's a good player who tries to play attractive tennis and I would have liked to see him win it once. Not at the expense of Federer though. 154525 Federer is about as boring as Michael Owen and Alan Shearer put together. 154556 He's Swiss, what do you expect?

4. A bit harsh on the Swiss. Last night was poor (but not much worse than England v Ecuador) and the Ukraine made it very hard for them, but in general the Swiss are a good attacking side that pass the ball well. They were the youngest team still in the tournament, and if you take Zuberbühler out of the team (who is 36 next month) they're even younger. Should be a good Euro 08 for them. 153900 Honestly, that was easiest the worst game I've had to sit through all tournament. Neither team looked remotely interested in winning. I only wish they had both been knocked out. 153905 It was a terrible game from a neutral point of view, but I watched the last two England games with my Swiss friends and they said the same about England. Hopefully that will change on Saturday! Be nice to rub it in.

6. I'm sure it was, for some strange reason a lot of proven foreign players never seem to do well with us and apparently it's always the players' fault! They are all lazy mercenaries, only here for the money etc.
7. Take that, you convict bastards It was never a red card anyway.
8. Blatter 100k+??? The twat probably earns 100m+ each year. He is the biggest tosser walking around, always having a go at other for things who he is actually to blame for. This time it's the referees, another time it's commercialisation. 153320 Are you coming round to my way of thinking about Fifa and uefa Blatter is a disgrace in everything he does. And agree with Spongebob, commentators always come out with that killing the game as a spectacle stuff, or "nobody wants to see it turn nasty like this" etc. and everyone knows we all do want to see games like this every now and then, its cracking entertainment! 153327 I never had a different opinion about the Blatter's, Havelange's etc. of this world. Like every organisation UEFA is far from being perfect, but much more competent than those useless tossers who are based in Switzerland. Especially as I normally can't see any anti-English bias... 153329 Aren't UEFA based in Switzerland too? In Nyon I think... Blatter is a tosser of the highest order.
9. Forza Italia! And if you do win tonight, you will be put in your place by Switzerland
10. Rooney will obviously be the key against Portugal. The worry is that the cheating Portuguese will wind him up and he'll get himself sent off...
11. Honestly, I think it was one of the worst games of the tournament. England didn't create a single chance. There was Beckham's free-kick and a few poor long-range shots, but not a single meaningful chance. Defensively, it was better than the last game, but once again Eriksson could have used his subs to change the game and once again, he failed miserably. The match was crying out for an injection of pace, Beckham was clearly struggling, and what does the Swede do? Nothing. Portugal going a man down is good news for us as they would be the harder team to beat, hopefully Holland can come back and win the game now. 153239 Hmm, I think that Portugal would be a better opponent than Holland as there normally is the chance that Holland are putting a team under much more pressure, and the English defenders and Robinson do (surprisingly) look a bit shaky to me. I think England-Portugal would be the typical game where only one goal decides, possibly coming from a set piece like today. For the role of Rooney I have to say that I think he is wasted. He is not a spare striker, but rather a supportive kind of player. Rooney can't both create chances and put them away himself as well. This actually means that England more or less create nothing at all... 153243 You could be right about Holland. Whether it's them or Portugal in the next round, I think it's an illusion to think that England can suddenly turn on the style when being faced with a better team. They will improve, yes, but I don't think it will be enough.

13. It's not the players' fault, IMHO. It's all down to Eriksson being the most clueless manager of the whole tournament.
14. That was utter shit. Not taking Beckham off after he scored when it was clear to every fucking TV viewer that he couldn't go on was the last straw for me - Eriksson is a clueless idiot of the highest order, the man should be shot instead of being paid £4m a year. England looked about as organised, passionate and willing as Souness' Newcastle sides. What a fucking idiot. McClaren may be shit, but there's no way anyone could do a worse job with that squad. England are going to get totally arse-raped if they play like that in the next round.
15. Worst game of the World Cup that I've seen. England are absolutely awful.
16. I once met and talked to Scatman when he did a gig in my hometown. Factomüesli.
17. Fantastic description.
18. I did say they've played very well so far and they were certainly impressive going forward today. Podolski and Klose linked up perfectly for them up front. Germany are a good team rather than a group of very good individuals, which is what separates the winners from the losers. I don't think they'll get past Argentina though.
19. 0.129 after three cups of coffee.
20. I like Henman because he is a true old-fashioned serve-and-volley player, but he won't stand a chance against the Rodgemeister.
21. Fair play to the Germans, they played very well and everything seems to be going for them at the moment. The one thing you could say is that they haven't come up against any good opposition yet - Sweden may be a decent team on paper, but they were shocking today. Not Germany's fault though, you can only beat what's in front of you. I'm really looking forward to their game against Argentina, it should tell us how good the Germans really are.
22. Frei scores, 2-0. And Senderos seems to be okay after his dislocated shoulder was put back in.
23. I still think Frei would be a decent signing for what would probably be a small transfer fee. Damn having to work on match days.
