and how many times have you seen NUFC play, from Northern Ireland, you stupid twat I am pleased for you that you think being knocked out of a european competition is far more a disgrace than the 86 clubs who didn't even qualify .... What an arsehole. Never mind. Your bum chums will no doubt defend you tomorrow, as they are as stupid as you..... OMG

Is this the same financial mess that I point out to you, only for you to tell me to go and support the Mackems or another big club with an unambitious board?! the one and only ....... In spite of it going wrong, one day you will understand the difference between having an ambitious board and an unambitios board, but hopefully not. Did anyone ever tell you the club had a failed share issue 2 years before the current board took over, where it couldn't raise 2.5m quid and would have folded if the Halls not came in ? Did anyone ever tell you that Lord Westwood and his cronies finally resigned because the bank asked them to pay 16,000 each to keep the club afloat ? Has anyone explained to you that having debts tied in primarily with stadium expansion and paying off upgrades with the system employed by the club is a "manageable" debt, and many clubs have done this ? Which of these scenarios do you consider the worse ? I realise that you may not grasp this is the real world and very few clubs win things without spending money ? If you answer this, you can also tell us how the club will win things without competing financially with the other clubs ? I am not taking the piss out of you for pointing out the debt Baggio, I'm taking the piss out of you for being so idealistic and stupid. As I've said to you many times before, we're £80 million in debt and losing £1 million a month. If you want to talk about this again then bump the 'West Ham board' thread and we will continue where we left off, but as far as I'm concerned this thread is about you backing Souness and thinking of him as a "top boss" No attemps to get it off topic and onto something else are allowed. the thing is, I didn't call him a "top boss". I've hated the twat since he was at Rangers, which I 've posted often. Anyway.....there is nothing else to be said about the debt the club has, apart from once again, you and people like you make out that nobody else has such debts....you either have a strange agenda, are blind, or just plain stupid and unrealistic to think the club can be successful without spending money. There is also absolutely no point whatsoever in you pointing at Arsenal, Chelsea or manu. Chelsea and manu are a special case, and there are few managers around like Wenger. The most amazing thing of all is you are so stupid you think its OK to slate the club for not finding the new Wenger .... as if they wouldn't like to find him themselves....plus, and last of all, over the last decade, WE have came closer to those top 4 club than anyone else, so they must have done something right. In fact, Arsenal and Liverpool have also accrued debts due to building a new stadium, so where the fcuk do you find the inclination for slating Newcastle for the same ? And - whats your answer ? Stop buying players ? Make sure we don't waste money ........ just like nobody else does .... You get dafter all the time Anyway, I think you should answer those questions We've been over this before NE5 Beermonster Leazes and all of the things you want to know from me are in the West Ham board thread, unlike yourself I really can't be arsed to type the same thing over and over again. Anyway, back on topic. So you think Souness is a top boss then?! What else is that? You think Boumsong is composed and a canny tackler?! I'll take your word for that since you're always right!

I think this hole is too deep for even Leazes to get out of this time.

You're clutching at straws now, Leazes.

As I've said many times before, we play our best football when Parker is out. If we did get offered £10 million for him from West Ham in January then Roeder is an idiot for not selling.

Dave Nugent called up to replace Darren Bent.

Keep up the good work and you'll move up to "Double wanker" status.

More of Emre and Butt, less of Scott Parker tbh

Emre Charge Not Proven AT a Disciplinary Commission hearing today, a charge against Newcastle United midfielder Belozoglu Emre was judged to be not proved. In its decision, the Commission stated that "having heard all the evidence presented, and having regard to the standard of proof agreed with both The FA and Newcastle United, we were not satisfied that the Charge was proved." Emre was charged on 12 January with using racially-aggravated abusive and/or insulting words during the match against Everton at Goodison Park on 30 December 2006. He denied the charge and requested a personal hearing.

"At the time, I was completely convinced that Souness v Keegan was absolutely no contest. We had the best manager by far, the one who was going to take us places, and the scousers had boobed and been totally deceived by his record and achievements in a league of no competition. Over the years, circumstances have proved differently. While personally I think Keegan has never been the same since he left us, and if he had stayed the sky would have been the limit, Souness has gained experience, adapted his approach to players ie management style and became IMO a top boss." tbh. Just found my new signature tbh

I wonder what The Beermonster thinks of this?

Full credit to Wullie for the link, I found it in my Inbox this morning

No chance of that mate. Luque was seen as a replacement for Bellamy so there was no way he would get Leazes backing.

Closet Souness supporter! "The vast majority of Rangers fans that I met, at the time, during the 80's, were in awe of Souness. The insisted that he was "the greatest manager going" or he "had turned the club around" all the usual comments..... At the time Liverpool appointed him to ressurect their former glories...and a fair few scousers thought he would do it on the basis of winning a 2 man league in Jockland.....and a fair few Rangers fans did too as well. Further down the line...who was at the Newcastle v Liverpool game, the 3-0 one which was the subject of the "bribes" allegation....who remembers the Leazes End singing "Souness for sunderland". I do. At the time, I was completely convinced that Souness v Keegan was absolutely no contest. We had the best manager by far, the one who was going to take us places, and the scousers had boobed and been totally deceived by his record and achievements in a league of no competition. Over the years, circumstances have proved differently. While personally I think Keegan has never been the same since he left us, and if he had stayed the sky would have been the limit, Souness has gained experience, adapted his approach to players ie management style and became IMO a top boss. How good we will see. As I posted last week, his treatment of Craig Bellamy is a test. Does he wash his hands of him as people like Wilkinson and Trevor [blow your nose] Francis did of Cantona, or will he focus him and manage him like Ferguson. It's up to him, just as much as it's up tp Bellamy. Both of them want to be the best, so they both now have the opportunity and the platform and it's the crossroads for both of them, as they say." http://z7.invisionfree.com/toonchat/index.php?showtopic=1228

To be fair to the lad it did sound like he was carrying an injury and should've been taken off long before he was. They said on the radio that Dyer came limping out of the tunnel for the start of the second half. Madness.
-
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder: "They couldn't cope with the shape of our midfield in the first half and the only disappointment was that we failed to create or convert any chances. "Obafemi then has a fantastic chance to score early in the second half and I was quite amazed that he didn't score or even hit the target - and what do you know, two or three minutes later and we're behind. "I was pleased with our reaction after the midweek defeat though and we won't let our season peter out. There is no danger of that, I won't allow it to happen."

Happy Birthday mate.

Look at the FAO Leazes Mag thread.
