They probably are as we were an embarrassment last night.

At least when Souness was here you always felt he wasn't far from the sack and that better times wouldn't be too far away, Roeder on the other hand isn't going anywhere and I can't see our football or results getting any better. You look at a manager like Van Gaal and you know Shepherd would never go for someone like him.

Goodfellas has just started on 4 if you're interested.

I wonder if Leazes still thinks the rest of the clubs who didn't qualify for Europe this season were jealous watching us tonight?
-
Absolutely fucking clueless.
-
Was that header from Sibierski our first attempt at goal?
-
As per usual a Butt and Parker midfield partnership is creating absolutely fuck all. Long ball-tastic.
-
Huntington is a waste of space at left back, Duff is doing it all down that side.
-
Strong looking bench too compared to what we've had most of the season.

Happy Birthday mate.

Wenger - The football he plays at Arsenal would be a joy to watch every week, I'd be interested to know what he's spent since he's been there, he hasn't just built a team for now but the future too. Didn't Hitzfeld spending nearly bankrupt Dortmund?

That is fucking superb! I'm gonna start posting that when NE5/Leazes Mag starts spouting his usual copy and paste bollocks.

Given was 21 and already an ROI International when we signed him, don't think we can take credit for bringing him through tbh.

I don't think Spurs are a bigger club than us, however they're making the most of what they've got which is why they have overtaken us in the last few years. They're a very well organised club with a forward thinking board who are doing everything they can for the club to reach it's potential.

£9.5 million is what Villa paid for him.

I thought Gera was out of contract in the summer?
-
I see your name in there Stevie.

I've just asked him over on Newcastle-Online about copy and pasting your threads over there but he won't answer me, he said he doesn't even know who you are, Leazes! Get signed up and sort the bastard out.

Somebody said in the post match thread over on N-O that it felt like a defeat! Madness.

yawn. I've said on numerous occasions that the club is in a position where it needs to be careful with its finances, in fact as you are probably aware, I predicted this would happen as a result of Souness selling players he shouldn't have and wasting money on poor replacements, although there are plenty of people on here and NO who backed his actions, and still think the club should be buying players, so I suggest you raise that question to those people and not me. I would be curious to know what projected increased figure of income you have in mind, when you think the club can raise more money through appointing a CEO, or whatever, in comparison to the cash they are raising at the moment, and have done in the last 10-15 years. Because, in my opinion, as I have said, the key to success is through appointing a manager who knows what he is doing, not a CEO, media men etc etc. Although it is fair to say that the people who appoint the better managers and run the better clubs are the ones who win the trophies, and/or qualify for europe, and/or buy major international footballers, would you not agree ? You do know the difference between a CEO and a DOF don't you?! Of course, but it appears that you and others don't know the difference between a CEO, DOF and a football manager Why don't you tell us what the difference is then.

Taking Lennon off was a ridiculous decision considering Chelsea played with 2 defenders towards the end of the match.

Kerr returns after trials with ToonMar 10 2007 By Lee Ryder, The Evening Chronicle Newcastle United have decided against handing 19-year-old Whitley Bay star Lee Kerr a contract following a two-week trial with the club. The Jarrow teenager impressed at United and had his trial extended twice following an initial three-day stint. And Lee Clark also insisted on seeing Kerr play in United's 0-0 draw with Bolton last Monday. However, after a fortnight's examination, Kerr is available again to rejoin Whitley for their Northern League title quest. However, it isn't the end of the player's chances of stepping up to a higher level. Watford and Norwich City had scouts assigned to today's game with Jarrow Roofing at Hillheads. And there were representatives of eight clubs watching Kerr at Kingston Park on Monday night, including Darlington boss Dave Penney. Hillheads boss Ian Chandler said: "I spoke to Sparky and it appears he hasn't been affected by this minor setback, and is looking forward to helping Whitley Bay in winning the Northern league. "I also believe the experience of training with Newcastle will serve him well, and has added an extra element of confidence to Lee."
