  1. Milner hasn't done anything since he's been on.
  2. You should show more confidence in your man. Good first half. Clinical finishing. 40/1 for Martins to get 3 tonight Still, great play, movement and finishing from him tonight.
  3. Great start by us! Martins, Dyer, Duff and Sibierski all looking lively.
  4. I wouldn't read too much into scoring stats in Dutch football tbh.
  5. Shota Arveladze plays up top, played for Rangers before this lot.
  6. 2-0 to us. We seem to do better against teams who want to play football rather than the likes of Boro and Wigan who are happy to sit back and want us to try and break them down.
  7. Inter broke the Serie A record for most consecutive wins this season IIRC (17) they're also unbeaten in the league so far, at this moment in time Inter are superior in nearly every position on the pitch than Milan.
  8. Excellent post that Stevie.
  9. It'll be a big boost getting Emre back in the starting 11.
  10. Why has the West Ham takeover been unsuccessful? The've now got an ambitious chairman who backs his manager, not like the old one who sold locally born England Internationals.
  11. Why should we take Keegan's word as the truth? If you've read his book you'll know how bitter he is towards Sir John Hall over not speaking to him when he left the club, there's a good possibility that Keegan is saying that Sir John never wanted him as his way of getting back at him. Similar to how you believe all the things Sir Bobby says about Fat Fred in his book are bollocks because he's bitter about being sacked.[/copy&paste]
  12. I've addressed Baggios comments before, and I'm bored with them. No Leazes, you don't answer because you know I'm right, so instead you either try to laugh it off by ridiculing the point someone has made or you just go off topic to avoid the question. As I told you before, the redevelopment of St James Park cost just over £40 million, so that means the other £40 million has been borrowed to fund players, more than that if you consider that the stadium was extended in 2000, payments would have to be made on that. Also, what does us having a larger fan base have to do with anything? The fact that we do have a larger fanbase yet we're still falling into deeper debt is an even bigger worry. As for you saying "I don't believe I have ever said the club should carry on spending money." Didn't you say on Newcastle-Online that you would be happy to spend all of our money this summer on Tevez? That to me suggests you're happy to keep spending money we don't have. Also this on your forum... "Darren Bent would cost a big fee, do we have it ? Whether we have it or not, I think we have to find some money somewhere." http://z3.invisionfree.com/NUFCforum/index...?showtopic=2460 So more lies from you, I had to laugh at this bit though... "Luke Young is an option, has he ever played left back ?"
  13. That's prety much how I feel. I think (depending on tonight, obviously) it's wide open and any all of those 4 have a decent chance. I think Chelsea will win it this year, especially now Barcelona, Inter and Lyon are out.
  14. I'd hate to see either Man Utd or Liverpool win it just because of hundreds of thousands of glory hunting wankers who support them, the majority of them don't even make the effort to go and watch them now and again. It wouldn't bother me if Chelsea or Arsenal won it though.
  15. He'll go back to Madrid when Copello is sacked in the summer if he doesn't get a decent offer from a CL team over here.
  16. The Valencia player who got the sneaky punch in is David Navarro, he was linked with us in January. Looked pretty quick when he was being chased around the field by Inter players!
  17. It's funny you should compare us to Leeds as it wasn't that long ago they had an ambitious chairman who got them into Europe, showed plenty of ambition and signed England players, and like us they bought these players by borrowing money from the bank to finance it. The point I try to make which doesn't seem to sink in with you is that yes, we have qualified for Europe more than anyone in the top 4 since Shepherd took charge but at what cost? we are £80 million in debt yet you seem to think we can continue the way we have over the past decade, borrowing money to sign players when the company isn't even making a profit, you think Shepherd is showing ambition by doing this but most people can see how out of control it's getting, he's like an 18 year old with his first credit card. We're spending money with no plan of how we're going to pay it back, which is the likely reason this CEO from Barclays has been brought in. Now all some of us have done is offer suggestions on how the club can move forward while getting away from sinking further into debt, clubs like Arsenal and Spurs have put together better squads than us without having to go into debt to make signings and most of that is down to having a DOF or something similar, yet for some reason you seem uninterested in this approach and are happy for the club to keep borrowing to finance expensive players. Do you honestly think the club can continue the way it's going?!
