  1. We should only need to play a defensive midfielder in a dozen or so games a season, the big 4 home and away plus away games at Spurs, Everton and Bolton etc. Against Shite like this we should be playing Emre as the deep lying playmaker (Similar to Carrick, Gilberto, Alonso etc) with Dyer in front of him running at the defence.
  2. Disgusting Roeder didn't start him yesterday. Parker and Butt at home to Man City, Fucking hell.
  3. The problem I have with sacking Roeder now is that unless last season we don't have anyone in the ranks who could do a caretaker job. Pearson is the only one left who you would consider having sort of managing skills. Our coaching staff is as depleted in depth as is the playing staff. But it is a must imho to work behind the scenes to make sure we have a new manager who can take over for next season and is getting already involved in the "planning". Pearson done a good job as caretaker boss at West Brom. As for our next manager, Houllier for me. Hooray, boring long ball football with hundreds of dodgy French players coming in... So you've seen Lyon play long ball football?! I haven't seen Lyon at all, but I remember his last couple of seasons at Liverpool. I think you can break his time up at Liverpool before and after his heart attack, after he had it he really struggled to get back into the swing of things, after he left Liverpool he took a year out and it seems to have done him the World of good as is being shown now at Lyon, they play some of the best football out of any CL side even though they've had to sell their best player for two summers in a row. His record at Liverpool was pretty good, better than we had here under Bobby Robson.
  4. Agree with that assessment of Martins, his complete lack of class is shown by his poor first touch which is really bad. I don't rate him really. Martins is a class player but like Tevez at West Ham, he's being asked to operate in a position he's not used to in a shit team with piss poor tactics, our whole game seems to be around booting long balls from the keeper/Bramble and hoping him or Dyer run on to them, we will never see the best out of either player with tactics like that. It's similar to under Souness that our 'flair' players are practically non existent where as our grafters like are rated as our best players, then again Roeder did say he wanted battlers so perhaps this is the way forward. I still think Martins has to take some blame for this style of football himself. If he actually used his pace to give players more and better options by trying to get away from defenders and behind their back he could really complain about the service. His movement off the ball when we are in possession is still very questionable... I've never said he's faultless however better coaches would sort these small details out of his game, most of the forward thinking clubs like Bolton and Spurs employ a skills coach to work with individuals to sort out things like this, that's why Aaron Lennon's control has gone from average to excellent in the last 12 months. Still, I'm sure Terry Mac and Clarkie will sort him out.

  8. That was the summer that started the ball rolling, Liverpool were in the same position as us yet planned Houllier's replacement months in advance, Shepherd on the other hand... *Told the World Robson's contract wouldn't be renewed at the end of the season. *Sold Gary Speed to Bolton without telling him until the deal was done. *Accepted a bid for Woodgate without telling him. *Refused to sign Robson's first choice in midfield (Carrick) in favour of Champions League winner Nicky Butt. *Bid for Rooney without telling him. *Sacked him a few games into the season without a replacement lined up. *Replaces him with Souness. That's off the top of my head, this twat isn't fit to run a youth club let alone a football club.
  9. More excuses from the cockney fuckpig - Roeder out.
  10. I hope we're going to set our sights higher than that. I'd go for Houllier in the summer.
  11. Stephen King's IT - Decent film but it drags on too long.
  12. All the other clubs (apart from the top 4) who we've qualified for Europe more than in the last 10 years tbh.
  13. Playing a midfield partnership of Parker and Butt at home to Man City is pathetic, we shouldn't even need to play one defensive midfielder against that lot let alone two.
  14. Van Persie is an excellent player, I'd have him here without a second thought.
  15. Still the 5th best club over the last 10 years though...
  16. I already subscribe to the Setanta sports channels, it's a lot better coverage than it was a few years ago.
  17. Newcastle 2 Man City 0 We're playing shite at the moment but we've got to beat this lot, right?! Anyone know how serious Micah Richards injury is?
  18. He's going to Everton apparently.
  19. If the money is there and Liverpool want to sell Roeder will go for Crouch IMO.
  20. The Times. Wes Brown, Curtis Davies and Wayne Bridge?
  21. The biggest bottler against Alkmaar was you Glenn with your negative tactics, so fuck off.
  22. You're not quite Jeremy Kyle are you Stevie.
