Do you ever post comments about him when he's had a good game? It seems you can't wait to criticise the lad and pick holes in his game.
-
It's already been done, we've got the winner of Alkmaar and Fenarbache.

Babayaro gave a needless free kick away out near the touchline (he had a good game up until then) From the free kick, poor marking from Nobby let them in.

Zulte 1 Newcastle 4 Martins x3 Solano

Not one for it myself, but i think he's a good shot for 2 goals! I thought I'd bet 2 goals or more just to be on the safe side after last time, me and my old man had £20 each on him to get a hatrick against Levadia Tallinn only for Roeder to take him off after he scored 2 with 20 minutes still to go! I'd be gutted if that happened again.

For tomorrow... £5 Martins to score a hatrick @ 25/1 £10 Martins to score 2 or more @ 6/1 It's with Paddy Power if anyone fancies a flutter.

Good news IMO. We shouldn't be playing a midfield pairing of Butt and Parker against a team that contains part timers. Butt the holding man with Dyer having a free role behind Martins and Sibierski.

For what he did for us whilst a player I think not Although I agree it is a tad early You just need to look at Souness and Liverpool/ Hoddle and Spurs to see how being a great player but a poor manager can turn feelings sour.

Big names guiding Newcastle youngster Taylor Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has revealed how some the game's biggest names have helped him forge his career. "I always appreciated the faith Souness showed in me and the way he kept encouraging me," he told the Daily Mail. "When he gave me my home debut, against Everton, he only told me an hour or so before kick-off. He called me to his office and said: 'You're in at right-back'. "My legs were like jelly walking back down the stairs, but when I opened the dressing-room door, I saw my shirt hung up on the peg next to Alan Shearer's. I don't know whether that was down to Alan or the boss, but it was a great touch. "It gave me a real boost, and as I got changed, Alan said: 'There may be 52,000 out there, but they are all behind you. Try and relax and enjoy it. Just remember, they are all on your side'. It was delivered in a calm, measured way and was just what I needed. "Within the first few minutes, I let Kevin Kilbane know I was around, then piled into a 50-50 with Thomas Gravesen. That was my first real test. Gravesen was renowned for his physical strength, but I came away with the ball and cleared my lines. Suddenly, the Gallowgate End were singing my name. It was the best feeling I have ever had. "Playing for Tony Adams wasn't far behind when he took me on loan to Wycombe. He had always been my absolute idol. It was a chance to play first-team football and learn from the master, and he was brilliant with me. "Every day, after training, he would stay behind to give me extra tuition. For 45 minutes to an hour, we would work on positional play, heading, one-on-ones. Sometimes, he'd get one of the strikers to stay behind and run at me, to help me time my tackles. "Other times, it was just me and him, going over some of the basics. Me and the former England captain working on my game. Honestly, I'd have stayed all season, given the chance, but Bobby Robson recalled me after a month. "When I left, Tony gave me his number and said: 'Any problems, give me a call'. We have kept in touch. He has pointed out a few things but also said he thinks I have done well for Newcastle and England under-21s. You can't ask for better than that."

Who do you think are the best five defenders in the Premiership?
Baggio replied to a topic in Newcastle Forum
W Gallas R Ferdinand J Woodgate J Terry G Neville -
Don't take any notice of that whippersnapper Leazes Mag, Noelie.
-
Wigan paid over £5 million for Heskey in the summer and would want most of it back, he's not worth that sort of money.
-
not a "trophy" player, so people should be happy Would you be happy with his signing, Leazes? You honestly think he'll answer that without mentioning 5th best etc? I was expecting something along the lines of "a good chairman will back his manager with whoever he wants"
-
Leazes is bored and trying to pick an argument tbh No luck as yet on here or N-O.

Evidently a closet 'Gladiators' fan! Agree with your point though, it's mega cringeworthy! Don't Boro do it as well?? Yeah, Boro play pigbag or something like that.

If this is Roeder's idea of planning then I'm glad he usually doesn't bother.
-
If Emre does leave I'd prefer us to go for someone like Pedro Mendes to replace him. I'd swap Reo-Coker for Parker though.

It's on MOTD now.

A few shaky moments but I'd put that down to the playing conditions, I'd say him playing was the reason Crouch was left on the bench.
