  1. I've been calling them manure since before you were born son, when we had a shit board.
  2. one of sir bob's less dazzling signings Sir Bobby wanted Miguel and Seitaridis but was told to wait until after Euro 2004 to see how they done, both were excellent with Seitaridis going to Porto and Miguel's price going up. Fat Fred wouldn't pay the extra for Miguel so we went for the cheaper option in Carr. slate the club when they don't [or can't] pay a bit extra, and slate them when they do ie Owen What a cretin What do you think of the club paying the big money for Marcelino, Goma, Domi and Pistone ? Why couldn't they pay anymore? Oh that's right, they were preparing a huge bid for Wayne Rooney! Like we had a chance of signing him. As for signing Owen... All our eggs in one basket. Instead of building a team, lets bid for Owen and Rooney when we've still got Bramble, Bernard, Babayaro, Carr, Moore, Hughes, Ramage etc at the back. Then again we all know you're happy with a trophy signing don't we. *Awaits insults and to be told about the 87 clubs below us over the past decade etc etc.
  3. Steven Gerrard has 59 goals in 324 appearances for Liverpool, would you say he was a goalscoring midfielder? BTW where did you get those stats from? they don't look right to me. From Nufc.com. 208 appearances and 34 goals.

  5. Just noticed Renton's comment about Weekend at Bernie's above mine. Spooky.
  6. Weekend at Bernie's 2 - Not as bad as I thought it would be.
  7. People slag Bramble and Babayaro off but for me Carr is worse than the pair of them. How long has his contract got left to run?

  9. The 3 joint top scorers in the Championship are Michael Chopra, Robert Earnshaw and Grzegorz Rasiak, all have played in the Premiership and none have looked anything above average.
  10. Agreed, ask any Fulham fan if they would swap their last decade of football for ours. Some of you whippersnappers don't even know how good you've got it.
  11. If you look in the Betfair forum under soccer there is a huge thread where people have tried this before. EDIT - The thread is called £20-£10000 1+goal challenge
  12. I was thinking Parker over Butt? He's been far better than him at club level yet can't get in the England squad over him. Crazy.
  13. You're going over the top on the Rooney/Larsson partnership, Gol. Rooney had been poor compared to his usual standards up until last weekends game against Villa, also Larsson didn't come onto the pitch in midweek until the 66th minute when Watford were already 2-0 down.
  14. I can see Martins destroying this lot on the counter attack tbh, especially if they play a CB pairing of Zat Knight and Ian Pearce like they did against Sheff Utd. 1-3
  15. I agree with Shepherd on this one and would prefer to wait rather than panic buy. We still should have brought a striker in on loan though, even if he would have been behind Sibierski in the pecking order.
  16. OK. Shame you consider it to be a "debate" just because I have shot your stupid theory to shreds. You haven't shot it to shreads, you just go into the same copy and paste rant about stuff that makes little sense, then throw in insults to try and make your opinion sound superior. You silly old fucking idiot. hoho.....why the insults ????? I'm happy that I know enough about the club to know what I'm on about. If you think you know better, answer the points constructively............but I suspect you know you can't, and also being uninformed and unknowledgeable, through being hardly out of short pants, won't even attempt to I'm sure a bright young spark like you, understands what is meant by "constructive"........ So. Go ahead. It's all yours. Tell us how these clubs with superior "plans" are doing in comparison to us ? You're talking bollocks son, and whats more you know it. Not even wasting my time with you
  17. You've just realised? I try to ignore him but I can't help getting sucked in.

  19. You know what Leazes, debating with you really isn't worth the effort. I won't bother again.
  20. The away end when we played Villa at their place.
  21. The only problem with it is it's quite chunky.
  22. I agree and i dont think its humanly possible for Roeder to do everything he needs to do. One thing not taken account of when looking at the club's activity in the market is human resource. We are short on it tbh. Couldn't agree more, I'm not a fan of Roeder but to expect him to do everything from managing the team to ringing around to enquire about players as well as his managerial degree is too much. We need someone to come in and take control of everything to do with the playing side of the club apart from first team training and selection, you look at the success other clubs have had with this method and it amazes me we haven't followed suit. how many clubs are you talking about over the last decade have done better than us, and name them ? While you are at it, tell us which clubs you think have a better "plan" than us that for some strange reason haven't done so well. How can this be possible I see the infrastructure at Spurs is succeeding these days, unlike our "lack of planning"....look at the league table Villa, West Ham and Charlton also have grand "plans" going too ....... An example of a club that has had success with a Director of football is Spurs, 3 years ago Arnasen came into the club and completely altered the club from youth team up to their starting 11, he got rid of all the dead wood at the club even if it meant paying their contracts up, he then replaced with cheap young players who's transfer value could only rise (Carrick, Robinson etc) On top of that he scouted youth teams to get the best young talent signed up to Spurs, even if it meant loaning them back out they were still signed to Spurs before their value went up, Lennon, Huddlestone, Dawson etc. Even with shite like Davenport and Atouba they've managed to sell on for more than they paid for them. I'll address your point about the last decade, have Spurs been better than us over that period of time? No they haven't, however in the last 3 years since they employed a Director of football they've not only caught up with us but have sailed by, they have a far superior squad and have managed to do this while remaining debt free. We on the other hand have a poor squad with no depth, average players who we can't move on as nobody in their right mind will match the wages we pay them, a wage bill that is running too high and a debt of over £80 million. Such an overhaul by a DOF has made it possible for Spurs to bid £10 million for a top 17 year old without damaging their finances too much, at the same time we have to sniff around for players on loan because we haven't got a pot to piss in. Have Spurs been better than us over the past decade? No, however I have no doubt that we won't be better than then them over the next decade if Shepherd is still in charge.
