There is no fucking chance Ashley will spend 5 million, he wouldn't even spend that last January to keep us up.

If people start adding or pming me their limits I will start on pulling this together. My only concern with the whole thing would be people saying that they want in and not paying up I know it would never be a massive amount but if people have already made a payment it could end up a right pain in the arse.

I believe that one or more of the companies involved have paid for the campaign, companies linked to it obviously get good exposure and free advertising as such. Six weeks is the time we've set aside to gauge how successful this will be (the first stage as such), we need to have a closing date on the campaign otherwise we'd end up in the situation of always saying "lets try another week, maybe we'll get more in then" and it would become a joke. Thats the point where we say "ok we've got x millions lets give Ashley a call and start negotiating". So its more of a six week deadline for interest. Cheers mate. Btw just a personal thing and mostly down to the fact I have to do all my work on a budget of peanuts but 35k on advertising for this when Joe Public is being asked to put his hand in his pocket is an obscene amount. Don't get me wrong I know how much gets spent on big campaign and the expense involved but I personally feel that awareness could be raised on a far smaller budget especially seeing as the majority of it is going to be within the local community.

Peter where is the money for the advertising campaign coming from? Yesterday Caulkin said that £35,000 was being spent. Who is behind this in terms of creating the marketing campaign and making decisions on the sum of money that is being spent and how its is spent? Also why is it a six week campaign? Don't get me wrong I appreciate if the money being spend on billboards etc have probably been purchased on a 6 week cycle but surely because they will have finished the campaign itself does not have to have finished.

Aye I mentioned that on the last page. Obviously its all down to personal preference and their financial circumstances but I think it would be better to have 5 groups buying a share each made up of 10 people playing £150 than 50 people clubbing in to buy 1 share at £30 a piece.

Whats everyones opinion on how much/how many get involved? Would people prefer the likes of the mentioned 50 x £30 or would it be more appealing to have a few shares purchased in groups of those interested here in something like 5 different groups of 10 paying £150 each?

Not sure how we would work this? Possibly Paypal? We already have an account set up for this place that myself and the fellow admin put in to for the running costs of this place. That could be a possibility but they take a small cut don't they so we would need to allow for that if we went down this route with it?

You arent going to get any movement on the iphone. Those on here that have spoken about discount prices are through friends discounts of staff of O2 and other places. Have you tried it yet then? Its pretty much as it is in the video. Seems pretty decent and I can see the arguments for and against it in regards to if it is worth £10 a month. I am getting my phone and bills paid for by the work so with the savings thought I would give it a go. What I found useful about it is that I have just used it at the gym where I had made a playlist of some shite/cheesy dance music that I would never buy or even bother my arse hunting for downloads of but was just the type of crap I like running to. I have also read online that when you go premium you can set it up to 3 computers/iphones but you can also set it up to the ipod touch so I am in the process of putting it on my old ipod touch that I have given to my wife. As long as the music is downloaded onto the touch using wifi the offline mode enables you to play all your playlists through that too.

No I am on O2 although I am not worried about allowances as you can set it to "force offline mode"

I have just decided to try out the Spotify application for the iphone. Will give it a go and see what its like...
