1. 31327 The injury that he picked up against Spain was supposed to be an ankle knock, wasn't it? I don't see how that's related to his hamstring going tbh. 31415 Come on Gem. It's another reason to say 'Souness Out' 31670 I see you overlooked my response to Gemmills point...
2. 31327 The injury that he picked up against Spain was supposed to be an ankle knock, wasn't it? I don't see how that's related to his hamstring going tbh. 31415 Fair dos... He still fielded both Dyer and Emre the other week though knackering them whilst putting his job before the long term good of the club..
3. Well he did last until then but i feel perhaps the date at the bottom needs changing...
4. Cheers for fielding yet another unfit player Souness...
5. Commentator - "He throws the ball to Faye.... whose touch is awful"
6. How fit is Bowyer, get him on, Taylor off and Carr at RB!!!!!! The team is all over the place! 31258 Bowyer if fit would have started surely? If its the case that hes not.. he shouldn`t even been on the bench.
7. What chance do we have with Faye in the team? 31251 "I`m sure the blame will be put on Faye though what with him not being the local boy..." 31253 No more to do with the fact he is utter gash..
8. According to BBC Newcastle it was down to Taylor. He didn't look back to see where anyone was just passed it. 31248 I`m sure the blame will be put on Boumsong though what with him not being the local boy...
9. I`m sitting bored starting shite threads like this...

Hi

Well you were sent a couple of e-mails about the place....
11. It does make you wonder if we would have had anymore points had Berti Vogts not been in charge for the first few games...
12. But he can play that role for the good of the team even if he has to sacrifice something of his natural game. 30339 Would that not then be classed as playing someone out of their best position? Something Sven is already getting slaughtered for...
13. Future gold thread me thinks.....carry on ladies..
14. I cant see us winning both games and Norway dropping points to be honest..
15. Not that Solano would be playing anyway...
16. Albert Luque is a doubt for Newcastle's Premiership clash with Fulham on Saturday after picking up an injury playing for Spain. Luque was only introduced as a second half substitute for the final 16 minutes of their World Cup qualifying draw against Serbia & Montenegro on Wednesday. The former Deportivo La Coruna marksman picked up an ankle injury shortly after coming on but Spain had already made their three substitutions and he had to play on until the final whistle. Luque will now undergo tests back at Newcastle but early indications say that he will not be able to make Saturday's visit of Fulham to St James' Park. News of Luque's problems will be a further headache to Graeme Souness who has been struggling with injury problems since the start of the season. Luque made a promising debut at Newcastle but it now looks unlikely that he will be able to play alongside fellow new signings Michael Owen and Nolberto Solano against Fulham.
17. Despite the summer arrivals of Michael Owen and Albert Luque, Shola Ameobi has heaped pressure on himself to be the focal point of the Newcastle attack this season. Graeme Souness spent £26.5 million on his strike-force during pre-season and Ameobi must now contend with two more international stars after Craig Bellamy and Patrick Kluivert were shunted out by the Scottish boss. The 22-year-old has not yet managed to prove himself to be a prolific forward with just 16 goals in over 100 league games on Tyneside, and the Magpies' faithful have now wholeheartedly embraced Owen as their saviour as Alan Shearer's powers continue to wane. The Newcastle captain even offered to give up his number nine shirt in a bid to entice Owen from Real Madrid, although Ameobi is keen to come out of the shadows to prove himself capable of joining the list of the club's historic strikers. "I grew up hearing about the great number nines, Jackie Milburn, Supermac (Malcolm MacDonald), and, of course, Alan," said Ameobi. "And, as a Geordie, it would mean much more to me to inherit the shirt than any new signing. "It will take someone special to wear it and do it justice and I want to be that player. "I have to be top scorer this season and I believe I can be. "I feel mentally stronger and more confident and after carrying a hip injury last year I'm fitter too. "The time has come for me to step out of Alan's shadow, prove there can be life after him and shoot Newcastle to success."
