1.5 million and Milner on loan is what Villa are asking according to SKY
-
I cant see Spurs letting Keane go now. It would leave them with only Defoe and Mido. 23482 Yeah i was worried about that as well. Its obviously good if we can ge a load of money for JJ before his value decreases, but its players we need to bolster our squad and that means an exchange would be great. 23484 But then again if reports are to be believed they are in for Carlton Cole or Govou

Are you now going to log in as your alter egos to agree with you again?

Is Souness only on a two year contract? I see some people on here at times mentioning 5 years though i am sure it was two.

SSN's words: 'A senior spokesman at Villa have said they will not deal with Newcastle unless they meet Villa's valuation of the player'. So the word coming from Villa is that we have.
-
He has only 12 months left on his contract if he digs his heels in for the move we won`t have to pay that much. Though i can see Liverpool putting in a bid tomorrow too.

Nothing was just said in the headlines?

If You've Been Watching The Scottish League Recently You Will Know That Its Quite Exciting At The Moment 22051 Not from a Livi fans point of view, its just as depressing in that league as it is here... 22054 Thats because Livi are the only team on the planet just now who are actually worse than Newcastle United. Stick on for relegation IMO a very very poor side, Lambert has his work cut out.

I think it was this line that gave it away... 21935 Ah but that second comment was blatantly at dig at all English people what with Sima being Scottish you know... -
Welcome mate. Feel free to post away, just watch out for the odd clown on here that make sweeping generalisations, most are sound though.

Only people without a brain consider him a "god" To me he is just a journeyman centre-forward who couldn't hit a cows arse with a handful of rice. 21836 Sima, a bitter Scot perchance? You surely cant be serious? 21897 Even if he was a Scot what would he have to be bitter about?? 21910 A blind hatred of anything English, perhaps? I'm half Scottish so I've seen it from my relatives!!! 21914 Its been a while since we have had a Scottish generalisation on here..... -

I was hoping to see a pint tumbler and a fruit machine on that list...

Bobby Robson inherited a shite team. Souness inherited a top 5 team.

Thats just it. Right now last seasons failure to qualify for Europe is seen a blip, the signings of Luque, Emre and Parker show this. However if we continue to go through the season in freefall with no Europe once again its not only the standard of manager that we will have trouble attacting to the club but players both in signings and hanging on to what we have.

I don't think we'll be getting rid of Sourness yet, even if we did there are still managers that would come to us even if we did. 21186 Good ones that would stay the course though? We'd always be able to attract a new manager but we need more than that. 21192 Le Guen or Hitzfield? 21193 Isn't Le Guen in Turkey ? 21196 If he is my apologies i just no it was only a little over a week ago he was also linked with the Dynamo job.

Papa, I've just made the point in the other thread - "anything else" is not what we need. We need lengthy enquiries and discussions about who the right man is, and then we need to target them over a period of time and make sure we have a shortlist of one or two, not five or six. I don't believe that can be done in the middle of a season. Robson was a one-off - a local that wanted to manage us. "Anything else" is short termist and will land us in even worse shit when we're having to make another change a year or 18 months down the line. We need a long term plan that sets us on the right tracks over a period of time, not a short term fix that appeases the fans for a little while.. 21190 I do know what you're saying, i just want this one man disaster away from my club before he can really finish the wreckign job he started. Its far from ideal to be dumping yet another manager at this time, but there are better managers out there and if Fred had the brains he'd be out there now sounding out their agents so that they are in place when he gives Souness the boot. People forget we aren't too good to be relegated, and even though i have said we won't be and for now still don't think we will be...what if it goes on like this, a combination of shite tactics, injuries, bad luck and refreeing but ultimately we don't move out the bottom 3 and by the time he is sacked its too late for the new bloke??? 21194 There is more than one person at the Newcastle United that is making the club a shambles..

I would not sack before i knew we had a replacement, but there are a couple of good managers available at the minute they should be getting "tapped" up...
