Are there any threads on toontastic that you believe are worthy of being in the Gold Section?
-
yeah, most forums have a gold section, its great to save classic threads. I think toonchat used to have one before, but i might be wrong. 26199 And this would be in it. http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=236&hl=

This could be a joke - probably would have if this was a year ago. To be honest, I'm pretty sure Boumsong will keep his place ahead of them. 26200 Bramble will get back into the side with Taylor being shifted to one of our full back positions.

Woodgate on loan
-
Jonathan Woodgate is moving closer to finally making his Real Madrid debut - but no closer to securing a return to St James's Park. Newcastle United chairman Freddie Shepherd said he spoke yesterday with the defender he sold to La Liga giants in January 2004 - but much as he would like there to be, there are no plans to bring him back to the club. Michael Owen's move to the Magpies has given Madrid the funds to make a new signing and, with central defenders believed to be at the top of their wish list, has cast further doubt on the future of injury-prone Woodgate. Last night, Real completed the signing of Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos for £18.4m. But when asked if a return for Woodgate was on the cards, Shepherd said: "No. He just keeps in touch with the lads." That contact, however, has raised the chairman's hopes of one day bringing him back. "Jonathan watched Owen's unveiling on telly and thought it was fantastic," Shepherd said after speaking to him yesterday. "He still has the club at heart and I told him the No 6 shirt is still on the hook." Woodgate came through a rigorous practice match unscathed yesterday, raising hopes he could finally make his La Liga bow. The England international was included in Real's squad for this season's Primera Liga opener at Cadiz, but ended up watching the game from the stands. But he played against local Segunda B side Leganes. With most of the Madrid squad on international duty, Woodgate was one of only seven first-teamers who took part in the 80-minute game. Woodgate has been dogged by thigh problems since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu. Two weeks ago the former Magpie played 45 minutes against Real's juniors, while last Tuesday he made an emotional five-minute Bernabeu debut against the MLS Select XI, and 24 hours later he turned out for 55 minutes against a side made up entirely of 17 and 18-year-olds.

That was sorted back in January and an agreement was made letting Ball back into the picture for the the second part of last season as well as already having played 4 times this season.
-
I dont see Rangers paying him the money he was after from us. The whole purpose of Ball going and them getting in a replacement was for cost cutting reasons.
-
I think Shearers role in the majority of our signings is the clearest sign so far that he will be the next man in charge.
-
We won`t spend a penny..
-
Happy Birthday Dude
-
With Shearer having played a big role in attracting many of our signings it could be argued his staying on at the club was the best signing for us.
-
check your memory or vids to see how many crosses leading to headers there were in his last season here....i'm hoping more for through ball lovely through ball. 25961 Check your vids to see how many successful passes beyond five yards our midfield has made since Souness arrived. Solano is not the answer to all of our problems, but he can actually pass the ball... well. 25968 As can Luque, Emre and Parker. Souness inherited alot of those midfielders, bar Faye, who couldnt pass a ball and he is clearly doing something about it.

Thanks JJ I appreciate your sale freeing up the funds to bring Nobby back to the club.
-
And all you guests viewing......sign up and post away.
-
Like every attack he is involved in. 25814 God don`t liken it to his footballing ability...........there is no end product
-
He is good at drinking...
-
hes not signed yet....
-
But a hell of a lot better than Shola or Chopra..
-
Jim White has always been that cheesey dating back to when he worked on Scotsport. Its common knowledge he is a massive Rangers supporter and one of his most cringeworthy scenes was when interviewing Brian Laudrup where he said - "So Brian............why ARE you so good?" Whilst he sat there with a boner...
