Whilst he probably should have gone in the summer it was the same boo boys who chased Bobby Robson out of a job and look where that got us, we badly need stablility. As for the speak your mind, I agree. Though as the majority of posts as of late has stated its the boo boys at the ground I have a problem with. I do not see how it helps the team in any way, shape or form. According to many in the Leazes end last week Cacapa is shite, Sam should be sacked and Harper is a lazy mackem bastard and thats just some of the nonsense being shouted.

Aye neither would now get a game for Scotland
-
Absolute bollocks. Roeder was slated for making poor team decisions. Now that KING Sam is our manager we should just accept it....shit. Whats all this ass kissing with Allardyce? He did well with one club now he is God.... i despair sometimes. So you genuinely think you know better then? That's amazing. Perhaps you'd like a crack at coaching them too? So you're advocating blind faith then? How is it blind faith stating that he believes the manager probably knows better than us (due to the fact he works with them all throughout the week) and that we should perhaps get behind the team now and again rather than booing every other game as is the case if we do not pick up 3 points week in week out.
-
6 points behind Chelsea and Liverpool with the same amount of games played FFS get a grip. I now cannot understand why I was arguing with the SKY Sports pundits yesterday who slagged us off saying we are far too impatient and a basically a fucking joke at times. But judging by the some of the posts on here and N-O its seems they are right. If you want to boo its nearly panto season. If you don't want to support the team you would be better off there.

no. square pegs in round holes at the moment. i don't think he knows what his best side is yet. Agreed, and I find that disturbing. I can understand why he doesn't know his best starting 11 yet. He only took over the squad about 12 games ago and has also added 9 new faces to it. Most were complaining last season etc we never had a big enough squad so he has tried to fix that problem. Most on here change their prefered starting 11 week to week, its a bit ironic that Sam continually gets slated for the same thing. Confidence in his best team will come through games and what he sees on the park in competitive games.

It's the general air of impatience (not from you in particular, but from the moaning-minnies in general) I find irksome. For all we know Allardyce might be working his socks off behind the scenes, putting the pieces in place to give us the foundations needed for success, repairing areas neglected by the previous regimes, lining up players for January etc, etc. It's not going to fall into our laps and it's not going to happen overnight. Time, knowledge, hard work and stability is what is going to get us going in the right direction. Some support wouldn't go wrong either..
-
There's a surprise. Perhaps I should be more like you and be ignorant to the current problems at the club. Can you expand on what I'm "ignorant" to please? Your comment suggests you think I moan about things and that I'm never impressed with anything the club has done, which in truth I'm not because we're a fucking shambles and have been for a few years now, by accusing me of never being happy suggests you're ignorant to the problems the club has. You must see that further upheaval in the managerial and coaching positions would simply prolong this shambles? surely? I agree, I haven't said we should sack him now though, just that I'm not impressed so far and that replacing him with Hughes would be a sideways step.. seen the league table lately ? I don't think it's as simple as that, Jimbo. Hughes, Redknapp, O'Neill and Moyes are all managing teams that are higher in the league than us but I'd put them all (along with Allardyce) around the same ability level, what they have had over Allardyce is time, that's not me saying he hasn't made strange decisions in his time here so far because he has, I just don't see the point in swapping one manager with another of similar ability. Agreed

I think its madness to slate the guy at this point in time. I was sat arguing with the TV earlier when the pundits on SKY were slagging our supporters off for being impatient but upon reflection of much of what I read online and what I witnessed at the match last week I think they do have a point. Yes I do not agree with some decisions the man has made and some results have been unacceptable but the fact remains we are sitting only 6 points behind Chelsea with the same games played (yes I know many will argue we have not played any of the "big teams").
-
My other half (and I don't mean Jimbo ) and I always stay at the Hilton. Great hotel and more often than not get a 3 course meal included on the first evening of a two night stay for £200. Free use of the gym and pool also.

Geordiemessiah is probably the best man to ask.

I don't see the attraction in them at all. Some whistling noises and bright lights in the sky "....Oh how pretty" Whoopeefuckingdoo!

So have many of our "supporters" tbh

I was just in the process of writing the same thing mate. Villa could probably be added to that list who moved up 5 places last season and are looking tough to beat this season too. But its wasted on so many of our supporters who think we are so much better than we are, have no patience and would rather sit and boo their own team than get behind them. I've always been in the "Boo if you want to, it is your money" camp but that was when we were playing under Souness and Roeder, managers who were never going to do anything. There's been a hell of a lot of change over the summer, yet people expect us to play flowing, fast paced, high scoring football straight away. It's a slow process and at times like these, when we've got several new players and a whole new coaching set up it'll probably be detrimental to boo and jeer. So up to now where do you think Fat Sam's taking us, based on what? I have never liked nor rated him so I'm not being fickle. It's turning out to be exactly like I expected. Turning out? He took over a shite squad, many will argue that alot of the squad was decent but in reality its utter cack, has had to add many new faces and we have only played 11 games. I don't know where exactly hes going to take us or if hes going to be a success but to start hitting panic buttons this early in the season is madness.

On the topic of booing does anyone on here boo at Distin. More panto antics. "One greedy bastard...". etc Whoopee he went somewhere else for a higher wage packet. I am bloody sure most of those in the ground would do the same. Offer me an extra £10,000 a year, never mind a week and the obscene amounts he was offered, and I wouldn't have to think twice about it.

BTW if the guy who sits in the row behind me and a few seats along is a member on here can I just tell you that....Portsmouth is not in fucking London. He spent the entire match shouting about cockney bastards (at one point wanted some of them paralysed) Tosser And as for "We are the loyalist football supporters.....", what a lot of shite. If you want to go somewhere to boo its nearly panto season. Try getting behind your team and start showing some support.

The guy was outmuscled by Benjani for the first and slipped for the second and all of a sudden he is a liability. He has been a fantastic player for us in recent weeks and to hear him getting booed and supporters wanting him hauled off was shocking IMO. Yes he lost out physically on Saturday and you can guarantee (infact I have already read it several times) that he cannot handle the physical side of the game and is now written off as to being able to play against any big centre forwards now but I am sure this will be bollocks and he with the career he has had he will have played against similar oppposition many times in the past. But you know our support is fickle as fuck and until he comes back in and has a decent game will now be labelled a liability. Btw without him in the team we will also miss build up from the back. He was one player who tried to play football and not just hoof it anywhere and with our midfield looking so clueless he was key to much of our possession play.

Wigan have elected to sack Chris Hutchings with immediate effect, the Premier League club has announced. Assistant manager Frank Barlow takes charge on a caretaker basis, starting with Sunday's trip to Tottenham. In a brief statement on their website, Wigan said a fuller explanation from chairman Dave Whelan would follow. But they did put on record their "immense gratitude" to Hutchings in contributing to the club's "meteoric rise" over the past six seasons. Hutchings was appointed in May following the resignation of Paul Jewell. He stepped up from his role as assistant manager under Jewell, who elected to take a break from football. Hutchings had also succeeded Jewell at Bradford City in 2000, but lasted less than five months after winning one of 12 Premiership games. This season in the Premier League, Wigan have collected just eight points from 12 matches to be in the relegation zone. On Saturday they were beaten 2-0 at home by Chelsea. It was their sixth defeat in succession, with their last league victory coming against Sunderland at the JJB Stadium on 18 August.

SAM Allardyce has backed Claudio Caçapa to emerge stronger from his nightmare experience at St James’s Park on Saturday. The centre-back was substituted after just 17 minutes of the 4-1 defeat to Portsmouth having been at fault for Portsmouth’s second and third goals. Both were similar in that first Benjani Mwaruwari, then John Utaka outpaced the 31-year-old, then shrugged him off the ball to go one-on-one with Steve Harper. But Allardyce believes the man capped three times by Brazil is experienced enough to deal with his traumatic display, and learn the lessons of it. “Claudio will pick himself up,” said the 53-year-old former central defender. “He was looking a little laboured, that is why I made the early change. He has enough experience to accept he has made some mistakes. When you wake up on Sunday morning you can kid as much as you like to everyone else but when you look in the mirror you can’t kid him, can you? You know if you have done all right or not. “Claudio is one of the few you thought wouldn’t make that type of mistake, but he did. We all try to learn from those mistakes and eliminate them as much as we possibly can.” The former Bolton Wanderers manager made no attempt to hide his hurt after seeing his side’s unbeaten home record under him disappear in dramatic fashion. “Portsmouth’s win was down to Newcastle United gifting them the game and not down to their ability to win the game apart from a stunning, stunning first goal,” he said. “What I put on to the field is an extension of me. The players have to go out and put on a performance, be organised, understand how they should play, keep their shape, keep their discipline and use their abilities in the right areas. “In the first 12 minutes we lost the game in the shortest period ever since I’ve been here. That sums it up. It was all destroyed in a 12-minute period.” SHOT OF THE MATCH The eighth-minute opener from stand-in left-back Pamarot was unstoppable. The least said about the other goals, the better. CROWD WATCH Losing 4-1 at a ground where you are unbeaten all season is embarrassing, to do so against a team supposedly at your level even more so. But to hear the away fans chanting: “We want seven!” a quarter of an hour in takes the biscuit. When they weren’t booing, Newcastle’s fans were chanting Martins’ name but Kranjcar’s goal meant many didn’t hang around long after Allardyce took the hint. TACTICS WATCH There were many strange decisions by Allardyce: playing N’Zogbia on the right, subbing Milner 11 minutes after he had been perked up by moving to the left of a midfield three, and keeping Emre on the bench so long. Smith did little to suggest United are better off playing with a target man than Martins and Owen. GLOVE WATCH It’s been possibly one of the mildest Novembers in recent memory but not mild enough to stop Pompey’s Benjani needing wooly gloves to keep his hands warm.
