1. Merry Xmas to everyone on the board too Glad you got trainers rather than sandals mate
2. We will see, but I stand by my prediction
3. of course they know.....thats the point, the pc brigade etc and their protestations are helping them to remain protected..when what is needed is simply to ignore the idiots, stop fannying around and just go in and get them
4. lets just let everybody do whatever they like, when they like, to whoever they like then. Easy. only way of "reaching out" to terrorists is with a piece of rope, and tell everyone that anyone found protecting them will be kicked out of the country on the next flight home, and pass the legislation to make it happen, and tell the pc brigade, do gooders and any other intefering arseholes to get stuffed. prevention would have been prefereable, I think it is amazing that people like yourself are still unable to see that we are not dealing with decent normal, human beings here, they are fanatics hell bent on killing and disrupting our way of life. Full stop. sadly i see no solution is offered other than the current either. This was govt legislation here, and while no one pretends they get everything right, at least they have realised tighter controls are needed
5. You're a fucking idiot. 68668 you must be a fucking naive stupid clown 68867 So what do you want LM? Should the mosque where the london bombers went be closed? Should all pubs where fights break out be closed? 68874 are the amount of pubs per head of population increasing in proportion with the amount of mosques ? and Do YOU know of anyone who is sitting in a pub planning terrorist acts, or being shielded from investigation of such by the law ? Apart from those 2 glaring differences [unless you just don't want to see or acknowledge them] I can't see any others ........
6. no, I'm not, I'm saying i don't discount anyone based on the papers they write for, to do so is narrow minded. What i am also saying is i read them first, and find some of them who do write for the so called quality press ie Winter, Bose [?], are jumped up tossers that know shite all See my sig. Thats also taken from the mirror. Shame that those who still support fuckwit didn't first/earlier read articles by a journo who knows what he is talking about, also from the eeeerrrr... "tabloid" Mirror.....
7. a bit ironic considering your dog like devotion to the moaning french whinger. If Luque went running to the papers every other week you would give him more of a chance I guess 69942 If we could be sure he would score and create anywhere near as much as Robert did for us I'd definitely want to keep him. I just don't think he will. And I couldn't give a shit what he says to the papers, especially if it's true.] 69946 a fact seemingly lost with those hell bent on supporting a manager running the club ever downwards
8. Alan Nixon - old hander from the sunday people, which for years has consistently provided arguably the most prominent and correct transfer market information. Nowt like snob treatment of newspapers who actually have staff that are interested in football, rather than those who are probablY educated at rugby playing public schools, such as Henry Winter or other more politically dominated newspapers ie journalists that know nothing about football. The morale being, read papers staffed by people who nowt about football, and ........ Time will tell. Whether there is truth in this or not, who knows, but i suspect such dismissiveness of it is down to the fact that it would be a blow to be proved wrong about him, having said how wonderful he would be, based purely on fuckwits say so, rather than take the more realistic stance that replacing players such as Bellamy and Robert was always going to be such a huge and difficult task, certainly way beyond the reach of the pathetic fees fuckwit was responsible for us getting for them. Fact is, so far, he has been a disaster. If not, why has he not even been preferred to Hameobi instead of sitting on the bench ?
9. You're a fucking idiot. 68668 you must be a fucking naive stupid clown
10. basically correct, strange of you to have a go at decision makers, when normally you turn a blind eye to changing "the system", however you still miss the point that millions of pounds of our money is given to people who are coming here just for that very purpose with no intention of adapting their life to integrate into the community which has given them a new home, stopping this for some reason isnt' part of your solution but it would very much be part of mine, and I suspect, others too.
11. I would consider a more drastic action myself PP hits the nail on the head when he says they know who they are At the end of the day, this is nothing other than yet another cave in to extemists and the pc brigade, who are too stupid to realise they are helping to protect them I bet Mags, and any other Americans on here, must think when they see us doing things like this we must be one screwed up country
12. Just cos he chinned Bellamy. 68127 partly true. Aside of Souness picking a fight with someone his own size, or bigger ... Bellamy should have hit him back, over the head, with a hard rusty hammer
13. any recommendations ? And how much does a blank DVD copy, if you are going to copy 3 hour Videos onto disks ??? Also, mp3 players for the missus, nowt too elaborate, just decent ?
14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4531666.stm
15. "Bramble thrown down" on training ground by Souness... ... like to see him try ...
16. aye, but try and say it fast or when you are shitfaced
17. question for you Craig, seeing as you can't name too many you would prefer to Shepherd. How do you rate this lot : Westwood Seymour McKeag Forbes SJH Shepherd and this little lot Ken Bates Doug Ellis Bob Murray Milan Mandrovic [whatever his name is] Rupert Lowe ? Brown [West Ham] Peter Ridsdale Mohammed Fayed ? [Everton] ? Gould [those 2 blokes at Birmingham] Delia Smith Sam Haman [Cardiff] Freddie Shepherd .... to name the more high profile ones ....... 67520 Why are you listing past Newcastle chairmen and chairpersons of other clubs? Shepherd is still shite IMO - saying he's not as shit as x, y or z is not going to make him better IMO. 67629 whether you think he's shit or not, the difference between him and Souness, is that the manager, in the football sense, is the most important man in the football club, not the chairman. That is what bothers us, that is what we focus on. Financially, the chairman is the most important man in the club, and from that angle, Shepherd has done a good job. It IS possible for a manager to succeed under Shepherd, which is what it strikes me you are saying, but that is just down to opinion. Before you disagree, Bobby Robson did well, although not as well as we would like.
18. you are pretty damn correct mate. I think predictions, or judgement like these, are pretty basic. They are all easy and obvious, unless you wear rose tinted specs PS. You forgot Kluivert
19. statistics show that 90% of people don't believe statistics
20. An interesting observation, conclusive proof if any were needed how pointless these mind numbing statistical polls are. 66934 Pointless unless they prove that Bellamy was better than what we have though, eh? 66978 Points totals count. You can't measure performances though, shame eh ???
21. Ok, I'll be fair. Dyer had a go at Bowyer, but was the lesser of the two evils. I have also had a piss in the street. However, that was before I became a highly paid, high profile personality ..... Be fair to Bellamy as well, the only thing he did to Souness was react towards a manager who had him clearly marked. We've all had bosses who don't like us too much as well. Going back to football, I still say Souness chickened out of trying to manage him, hardly unexpected, which has knocked the club back badly, because he is a player worth giving the extra attention to, with the buck stopping with him.
22. question for you Craig, seeing as you can't name too many you would prefer to Shepherd.
23. Can't quite get my head around the reason for this attack, but I'm only saying I don't think he will be good enough, and no I don't think there is anything wrong at all with making a quick decision about a footballer. See above. My opinion is it is very easy to call the shots with hindsight, and those who knock Shepherd are doing just that, using hindsight. The VAST MAJORITY of Newcastle supporters backed these appointments, if however you didn't, well done for commendable vision. Now, THAT is a sweeping statement if ever I saw one. I notice not one person, has taken up my suggestion of listing the premiership chairman who look after their clubs and back their managers better than Shepherd. Not one, including you. If you are going to say he is so crap, that should be a fairly easy task. The fact that you can't, puts him among the better ones, despite his faults. Now THAT is all I have ever stated, nothing more nothing less. Is that CLEAR ? 67092 Here we go with comparisons again..... Leazes, if every chairman in the Football League was shitter than Freddy Shepherd (which IMO they're not), he still wouldn't be good enough for Newcastle United. Measuring the qualities of someone's ability can and should be done without comparing them to others... For the record, I think: Hill Wood (Arsenal) Moores (Liverpool) Buck (Chelsea) Glazer (Man Utd) Gibson (Boro) Levy (Spurs) Whelan (Wigan) All do a better job of managing their clubs (I don't mean simpily financially) than Freddy Shepherd does. 67374 I'm sure Leazes has repeatedly said (and I agree) that the limited supply of suitable replacements for Souness is not an acceptable reason for keeping him in the job. Surely the same applies to Shepherd. 67384 I have, and I agree [this is an answer to craig too], however the main difference is we can't get rid of Shepherd ........ he isn't sackable, and while we could easily do a lot worse than Shepherd, we couldn't do much worse than Souness, who to be honest for my money is someone I would never have considered, full stop. My sig isn't for nothing.
24. I'm guessing this thread would go on for pages if I questioned how you can have this attitude towards Dyer but a totally different one towards a player that attacked the first team coach and allegedly racially abused a bouncer at a nightclub? 67289 What Bellamy has done is nothing compared to Dyer, and Bellamy also performed on the pitch where it counts. The only thing Bellamy has done is call the manager, whereas Dyer disgraced the symbol of the clubs captaincy. So, you are right. It could go on for ages. 67300 And attacking the first team coach with a chair? Was that just harmless high jinks? 67305 No, but I remember you [and others] claiming that only what happened since Souness came is relevant to Souness. Since Souness came, Dyer has pissed in the street and scrapped with his team mate on the pitch. All Bellamy did was call him a prick and a liar [correct in both cases, even though it is admittedly out of order]. Yet Bellamy is alleged to have disgraced the "club" .... However, as Souness has often said himself, "I'm only concerend with what happens when they cross the white line", and in THAT department, Bellamy is or should have been, untouchable. It's all in the results .....
