in the past they have skipped the number and moved on to the next one anyway, but as Gemmill says, take your book just in case. Always find this to be the best option anyway since a lost soul was sitting in my seat once ! until he was pointed to the right tier .......

so we are doing well under Sounes then... congratulations on having your expectations successfully lowered.. as clueless as ever 71760 I missed the bit where Rob said we were doing well under Souness, I cant spot any lowered expectations. Needless insulting post on your behalf. 71765 don't think it takes much intelligence to read between the lines of "11 points better off..." pretty needless and pointless post from yourself, but thats usual for you as well 71768 fight the anger Leazes, fight it - it'll make you a better person, honest and I'm NO fan of Souness - the sooner he goes the better IMHO 71774 whats your problem Rob ? One day you may snap out of your dreamworld like ..... -
yet more money for a lower finish than before he arrived. Congratulations on also having your expectations successfully lowered by fuckwit, as some of us predicted 71769 did you say so at the time ? it seems to me, in fact I'm pretty sure actually, that most people at the time thought we were underperforming, not overperforming ........ ....... which is precisely why they were booed of course it is lowered expectations, if you are handed 50m and a free hand to freshen up and improve a top 5 team, how on earth can you justify finishing even one place lower, never mind 9 ? there may not be too much money left....how much money do you think the club can afford exactly, and i disagree strongly it is money well spent, we have sold players we shouldn't have done, for less than they are worth, and overpaid for some we have brought in, due to Souness bahaving like a complete amateur. I think the team that he inherited could have been improved and got closer to the top 3 for half what Souness has spent to take us backwards.

In sheer football terms perhaps it is shite but for as far as how I feel about the team ive loved for 40 years it is the most depressed and demotivated ive ever been. This is because of Souness, trot out all the excuses I just hate the bloke and the football I am having to endure after my expectations were (falsly) raised by the last 10 years of actually having a team to be proud of. 71727 I feel your pain Chops, but as one (only slightly) younger I feel a bit different. I think I went through what you are feeling now under KD, I hated the man the football I just couldnt bear it. I didnt hate Gullit with the same passion, but I was as depressed, and after Wembley farce part 2 I thought I was done. SBR rekindled the hope, and it hasnt quite gone for me. I cant argue for Souness being a tactical genius, and Christ knows its hard to see any merit in a lot of performances we've had to endure, and the squad is plainly far too theadbare. But he can identify a player, persuade him to sign and most importantly get Freddie to put up the cash, something that SBR was failing to do by the end of his time. If he can improve the squad again during the window I still think we are on course for a decent finish this season. I'm not trying to change your mind here Pilchard, you and most others have already decided, and fair enough you are probably right, but I still thinkthere is a chance he can build a squad who could do something 71763 yet more money for a lower finish than before he arrived. Congratulations on also having your expectations successfully lowered by fuckwit, as some of us predicted

why do you lot always wait until we got thhrashed and then shout for souness's head....never hear none of this shit on the occasions ( rarely latley) when we draw or win ???? 71656 it depends how long you've been reading the message board...and who you've been reading. I can assure you that I, and one or two others, have never wavered in our belief that fuckwit should be thrown off the Tyne Bridge even after the luxury of the odd decent win, or run of results against a few sunday pub teams in europe last season

No, Souness never made any secret of the fact that Robert wasn't in his view a "proper player" , because he didn't help out defensively, which is why he has let him go for nothing, and recommended to his chairman to spend 9.5m of the clubs money to replace him. You surely don't think he has committed all that money simply because he called him names on his website do you ?

Me fickle ? Non. I'm confident in my judgements Gem..I'll admit I'm wron when or if I am.. I've been away for a few days last week. If I had posted last week I would have said that against West Ham, the best team lost, and Owen got us [and Souness] off the hook, again. Happy Xmas BTW hope the new job is going well

You're married? I feel sorry for your wife. 71437 go back to school son, you obviously had shit teachers, unless you are still there 71438 That's the best you can do, calling me son? Oh my god I feel so humiliated. You must have been a real barrel of laughs at Christmas lunch yesterday. I can just imagine this toothless, tattooed old Englishman muttering things like 'terrorists' and 'asylum seekers' followed by nonsensical rants over his Xmas pudding with your poor wife and family sitting there wondering when you'd stop so they could at least try and enjoy their day. 71546 silly lad. What book did you get for Xmas, "an idiots guide to ridding the world of terrorists", paragraph 1. Treat them with love and understanding because deep down they are all lovely little boys.

meaning what exactly ? I remember Souness being reported as watching him "closely" and "often"...and saying "he is a very good player". Souness is many things Craig, but one thing he isn't is a yes man. It may be that Boumsong has more than we have seen, and with better coaching and more arganised team mates around him, may not be a headless chicken, however his lack of strength in the air for a centre back is a major flaw, and one which knocks serious money off what we paid for him. I think we need a left back, badly, one which would defend well and enable Boumsong to have the confidence to stand his ground before making a final decision on how good he could be, or otherwise I wouldn't sell him because we are down on numbers, [unless someone made a silly offer], however if Bobby Robson had got him for nowt, then of course he would still be the same player, but would Bobby Robson recommend meeting a fee of 8m for him ?
-
... and after Luques tremendous display today, showing all the advantages he has over Robert. and the reasons we paid 9.5m quid for him, he covered his full back defensively very well, like a "proper player" in fact
-
so bad you posted it twice ? IMO, it is you who is, "different", BTW, most people I have met who are your age are more worldly wise than you, I would say. In fact no I wouldn't even say possibly, that is most definitely a fact. Still no understanding or perception of human nature at what, 60+ ? 70 even ? Trotting out the trendy theories must make you feel young again I take it ? How sad. How naive.

the trouble with Leazes Mag is that he is terribly insecure - emotionaly and socially he feels threatened by anything he doesn't understand and seems to be under the impresion that the rest of the world can think of nothing better than move into his street, take his job (if he has a job) and make him take a religion (I don't think he has one at the moment) Whilst this is a self evident nonsense we have to understand that TO HIM IT FEELS REAL Instead of slagging him off and arguing with him, which just feeds his paranoia (especially if it's a post from someone he thinks might be .....different...) I think we should try kindness in 2006 - soothing words instead of arguement, generosity instead of biitterness, peace instead of anger. At least we will feel that we're not decending to his unfortunate level sun.gif sun.gif sun.gif 71513 oh dear, I'm afraid the first sign of insecurity, to tag someone else instead ... I can assure you, Rob, that I am far from insecure, nor lacking direction in my life, both socially and privately. That's one hell of a supposition considering you know nothing at all about me. It would appear from such a response you are completely stuck for a constructive response. I am quite at ease with myself, and my opinions on these subjects, as I know them to be correct, made through experience on occasions, rather than reading fancy dan lecturers and trendy newspapers written by people with no experience of life who would literally shit themselves if the people they defend actually landed in their own street or their own doorstep [much like you strangely]. In the meantime, nice to see you ducking out of the main thrust of the thread again

You're soooooooo good at dishing it out. Anyway, I'll let you have the last word, kid. Make sure it contains as many insults as possible. 71493 whatever Omar
