  1. Well his choice would be to try and change the party policy or to take a stand and resign giving his opponents what they wanted. I'd also suggest that the evidence points to strong sceptic in the past who may have been persuaded to shift to a moderately pro position which he espoused.
  2. Leader of a party with an agreed policy mandated by executive /conference? I'm sure not all leaders agree with all their party policies - it would also be worrying if a party had to blindly follow any leader.
  3. I've read that he used to have the habit of flashing his cock at lasses in the office when he was on radio one - not saying that's acceptable of course but if that's what's being talked about then it's a bit pathetic.
  4. It was a point about associating people with actions and on that basis it was valid especially in the anti-Semitism context. I don't equate the state of Israel with terrorism but they do kill shed loads of people with impunity.
  5. The figures do suggest a problem given the results but of course those results would probably include tories who are insignificant in GEs - though I get your point about the lost vote.
  6. I agree with a lot of that but I'm finding it hard to reconcile some of the criticism of the referendum campaign with the figure showing 62% of labour voters voted remain - a figure only bettered (just) by the snp and a lot higher than the tory figure. Of course you can argue it should have been higher if you like but it's a sad fact that a lot of working class!/labour voters in the north do have a sun reading, flag waving tendency which could be exploited in this context. Of course it may be that people like that will never accept Corbyn which is why as I've said I'd be happy enough if only a good candidate emerges.

    Yes Gemmill...

Agreed. Mrs Merton was good as well - I liked how she had audience of old folk and really sold it as a sort of piss take of afternoon TV but in a nice way. RIP.
  8. Dragon Tits' nephew - bound to get together. The mad king they keep referring to (DT's dad) son and heir was call Rhaegar - he was married to a princess from Dorne but fancied Ned Stark's sister who was promised to Robert Baratheon. Rhaegar kidnapped and raped her which kicked off Robert's rebellion which resulted in him being king. The flashbacks to the tower show young Ned rescuing his sister only to find her dying from childbirth and making Ned promise to hide/raise the sprog as his own albeit as a bastard - that bairn is Jon.
  9. Can fist not do an abseiling Santa impression?
  10. Possibly. I'm waiting to be wowed by a candidate if that the case and as I've said it's certainly not Eagle.
  11. I think those using a vote on EU immigration (As they see it) as an excuse to have a go at Muslims and Black's have pretty much set their stall out for what they are. Legitimate concerns are fair enough in my view but should be "impersonal" if that makes sense.
  12. Exactly my experience of offshore software development - managers look at the numbers and think it's great but never see the rework/support involved as a downside when calculating the final cost.
  13. A tory lite in power isn't great either.
  14. Or maybe Corbyn's policies align more with those member's values than Blairite neoliberal shite? Sounds like you were always in the wrong party to me.
  15. I've said before that it's not just low paid jobs that are affected by Immigration. In my field salaries and contractor rates have risen less than they "should" have done in the last 10 years allowing for inflation mainly because of Indian immigration. However I don't blame the people themselves - I blame the companies who've exploited it to keep cost down - capitalism in other words. This also applies to farmers in Lincolnshire (via Tesco) and firms like SD. I'd also point out that a lot of the blatantly racist leavers are retired so on a personal level they can't justify citing wages as a good reason. Of course there's also concerned about housing/infrastructure but again it's not the immigrants' fault that we have had an abysmal housing policy for forty years.
  16. Or as his second left back sub in the same match.
  17. I agree - the whole war should have lasted two days in 1914 as soon as it was apparent trench warfare with machine guns and artillery was genocide.
  18. I'm all for remembering the deaths but it's tainted without criticism of the ruling classes who ordered it.
  19. Gove: "I go with my heart" - what heart - you're a fucking tory ffs. Pure slimeball.
  20. So he expects us to go up but wouldnt stick one year out, preferring the "football" of that cunt. Fuck him.
  21. Well the tories didn't try to to "protect" against the Romanians etc and there wasn't really a flood - probably because the UK was less attractive by then. I think floodgates is an exaggeration anyway.
  22. Funnily enough the ukip economic manifesto used to be quite left wing in places - if the leave areas are comfortable with the racism as it seems they are then ukip still has a chance if labour fail to get their act together.
  23. I assumed the final fleet shot was a little after the main episode events. The dorne scenes were also later as they knew about the KL deaths.
