I'm sick of the contempt being shown by the backstabbers for the £3 members. I accept there are saboteurs in there but it still leaves labour at the biggest "left wing" party by membership in the world. Dismissing that power base and opportunity just because you don't like who they voted for shows the fuckers up for what they are - arrogant control freaks - very much like their inspiration.

Pixies tonight - fucking brilliant. Kim's lost a canny bit of weight like

Don't forget her speech was intended to win the leadership by distancing herself from Leadsom - now there's no contest she can be "honest".
-
That's what my point is when arguing with Renton - a choice between two virtually identical platforms which relies on tradition and heritage of a name alone is pointless.

Looks like that Owen Smith is running which makes me think they're confident of excluding Corbyn from the ballot.
-
That's because an unelected German is unavailable.

It's the "focusing on the working class" that's the joke. She's tried and failed already to reduce immigration especially non-eu. They won't build Council houses. They won't force SD or anyone else to make jobs permanent or better paid. They won't increase funding for education or the NHS. What will they do CT?

All Chinese apparently.

Don't see how you think leadsom is likely to win - bookies back May strongly. She also seems error prone. Seems like the Labour rebels are relying on the argument over Corbyn being on the ballot as otherwise I can't see Eagle winning. If they succeed in that strategy I think it's naive to think the membership will just accept it - I think they've ignored why people joined - not for Corbyn himself but the ideas and concepts.

A paper round where her job was to label the papers with the addresses, not deliver them. I would have guessed late 50s myself BTW.
-
She's very pro-family though - nearly every job she's had has been linked to her brother in law.
-
Leavers wanted to go back to the 1950s so halfway there is a good start. I don't think she'll win but I'm starting to think electing an odious nutter might be a "good" thing in terms of putting people off the tories.

Probably said this before but when it comes to Islam, politics, faith and culture all meld into one identity and motivational base. I think there have been other examples of this - probably including the kamikaze pilots as mentioned - but it's Islam that matters on the global scale now.

Massive lies on her cv as well.

I'd add the original cause of Iraq being such a mess was down to the British /French map drawing fiasco post WWI - it might have worked as three countries.

There were some incidental mentions of opportunities for oil companies but the most we got on motive was the usual shite about freedom, democracy and western values being established in the region. Even if the motives were anywhere near noble, the methodology and lack of aftermath planning were appalling.

He didn't actually mention Blair by name - I'd kick Austin out if it were me.

Asking for the dead to be remembered, saying Robin Cook has been proven right. What a cunt eh?
-
Believe it or not I generally don't have a problem with how people vote at a GE - I might think they're wrong but I can usually understand why they vote how they do. This on the other hand is just mass stupidity.
-
My dad's advice to me was to look after yourself , your family and your friends in your day to day life then when it comes to the election you should vote to look after everyone else. If there is nobody to do the latter and you start to feel that everyone else doesn't matter then the world has gone to shit.

I'm about 80% through the first book and I get a sense of some hinting about the events just revealed via Ned's fever dreams but I can see there's going to be a gap in narrative between Ned and Bran. I've also noticed the first season of the TV series is extremely close to the book - I suppose the diversions start as it goes on.

You should watch the two black and white versions of mutiny on the bounty to get an idea of British navy discipline.

Did anyone see Carney's press conference the other day? He asked the assembled journalist who included those from the Ft and the economist, reps of institutions and of course those from the Telegraph, mail, sun etc whether any of them would like to argue whether the warnings he'd given about the shit hitting the fan were in any way incorrect. Total silence was the response.
-
Surely the fact you think he put his position aside to follow party policy negates that?
