  1. My general view is that women are always better off without and that is a classic case. Not being aware of celebrities I have no real idea who she is but looking "blind" I think the woman on the left is quite attractive.
  2. The drugs are a factor in my lowered sympathy for the lass - on the other hand if people's idea of dealing with death was anywhere near the bloke's level then there would be "Bridgends" galore everyday - how do thousands cope all the time without this wonderful professional support? It is sad if he could have been helped and wasn't but overall I stand by my view. That's the wonderful thing about being human - people cope with different things in different ways and we're not all identikit morons. Now I can't possibly imagine what it's like to find someone you love being boiled alive in a bath and then being arrested on suspicion of having something to do with it but i'm willing to hazard a guess that all level headness and logic goes out of the window. But then maybe my opinion on the whole situation is sullied by the fact he was never off kids TV when I was younger so I probably give more of a toss about it than some people on here. Point taken on people are different. I also have to be honest and say I still haven't got a clue who he was.

  4. As I said in the Pompey match thread - they and Villa must give us hope - though I'm wary of Spurs. I'd be disappointed not to at least challenge for sixth (though just missing out would be fine).
  5. Galaxy Quest? What shit ones were you thinking of? Basically Red Dwarf. Hitchhikers guide is wank too. And that one that was on BBC2 with Shaun of the Dead's mate. Never seen Galaxy Quest, but my theory is just as blown away by the hilarious Spaceballs. Hitchhikers was a little too clever for me but not bad - on the whole I loved Red Dwarf. I think the one you mean was Hyperspace - agree it was shit.

  7. There was a lot of potential in bringing back the Red Dwarf ship/crew which had its moments but sadly failed on the whole.
  8. I think that's very harsh, it seems pretty clear to me that the poor bloke was overcome and heartbroken and was obviously not thinking rationally. I hope I never face such a tragic situation and be expected to keep a level of lucidity. Probably but people face the death of loved ones everyday and cope - its part of life. obviously its a lot harder when you feel partly responsible though Perhaps but guilt is a natural part of mourning - you don't have to have been involved in the death to still see it that way even if its something like illness.

Thanks lads - found it and watched it.
  11. Feel a bit sorry for the lass but with usual drugs caveat. The bloke is just another coward.

    TV Show Site

Someone (Laz?) posted a site a while ago where you can view a shit load of TV shows - can someone remind me what it was? I've got into NCIS over the past few months and have been waiting to see the end of S2 /start of S3 for a while as the events are pretty traumatic - C5 has reached that stage in its repeats and showed the first ep of the third season last night and now I can't wait 6 days to see the next one. (Tried Piratebay - no luck)
  13. Good away performance as has been said - could and perhaps should have won it. What this and the Villa game tell me is that the "gap" to the initial level we want to be at (challenging for sixth) is eminently doable. It also shows why Allardyce (and Roeder for that matter) should be shot for failing so miserably in that and more for telling us we have to wait years for it to happen. At the turn of the year I thought we'd need a summer of mass outs and ins - now I'm tending towards Kev's "4 or 5 quality players" view.
  14. Sounds like a genetically engineered Teutonic lesbian. Wonderful thought at this time of day - thanks Agent bollocks but if it was "true" it would show what hypocrites Fergie et al are for having a go at agents when they use them like this to unsettle players.
  15. Speaking of John Carpenter I really liked They Live.
  16. I think its worth highlighting as an example of a "reformed" player under Keegan.
  17. I think Mallrats is Smith's funniest film - its not the best (Dogma) or even better than Clerks but I think its the simplistically funniest. On the topic I really liked both Under Sieges and whilst accepting all the cliches about Seagal I also find some of his other films watchable.
  18. 45 years of pens like that given at that end - doesn't mean they haven't been the best side over that time but they are cheating, horrible cunts all the same. I think I would have leapt out of my seat if the head cunt had missed.
  19. Tried to watch first LOTR film twice only to fall asleep - gave up.
  20. Bollocks. His "plan" was for us to endure 3 seasons (at least) which achieve the same as this one - 40ish points and no chance of UEFA. Given any kind of resources and with a half decent squad to start with that is completely unacceptable ambition wise - and thats before style/tactics are mentioned. If Keegan left in May he'll have achieved enough and I'd thank him - and I don't mean staying up - he has made a lot of people actually enjoy football again and has introduced a priceless commodity - hope.
  21. Classic West Wing. Ironically (I think) meant as a safeguard against an overbearing government to encourage the citizens to rebel if needed.
  22. It is english and it's far from a pile of shite. I'm doing a 3,000 word on its religious influence at the moment. Middle/old english - whatever it's called - isn't modern as you need a translation dictionary to read it.
  23. "I don't be understandin' dems fancy writings" I'm a pretty prolific reader - I just don't think so called masterpieces hold much appeal in the 21st century. I'll fully admit to basing a lot of that on doing Julius Caesar, Oliver Twist and the aforementioned Chaucer at school but I've also tried things from genres which interest me more like Dracula and The Time Machine with the same results - too "fancy" for me. I'd also consider myself a fan of the horror/crime genre and if Thomas Harris is the best on offer then the list is flawed.
  24. Did Canterbury Tales for O level - its not english and is a pile of shite - FACT. Read Do Androids dream of electric sheep - for once I'm glad the film was better than a book. The rest are mostly pretensious shit as far as I can see.
  25. Workmate of mine is a fan of theirs - was going to go but his flight was T5 and his mates couldn't sort him out a ticket so he bottled out - he's watching it at some cafe in London - probably won't see him tomorrow now.
