They have the power to do anything they want. They can not pay taxes, they can circumvent employment laws to pay their servants pennies, ensure those servants are white etc etc. In fact its hard to find a law they aren't exempt from (See Prince Nonce). As Sammy mentioned they aren't above sending their representatives to dissolve commonwealth governments if they look a bit iffy. If Corbyn had won I'll bet when the pandemic came, the establishment and media would have called for his removal in the national interest and they would have roped in Liz to do it and not an eyelid would have been batted. That's why nothing will ever change fundamentally in this country because of the subservience to these cunts, their extended families and their entire class who allow the plebs to think their votes make a difference. Another example I've just thought of - Charles legally owns all of the land in this country - the true meaning of "estate" is a licence to buy and sell the right to occupy the land without true ownership. He can revoke that licence for any land he wants at any time. All because an ancestor of his won a fucking battle because the other side were knackered after walking the length of England.

The anthem is offensive to me on several levels and I make a point of never standing for it let alone singing it. Caliing on a deity I don't believe in (but just one to the exclusion of the others citizens might follow) to protect a person born to that role by notional descent (they ran out of direct descendents of William I and had to bring in a German branch to keep the thing going) is a non-starter. No celebration of the people or country or sense of commonality as others have. "Born to reign over us" / "long to reign over us" _ a change made to the latter as that's somehow better when it's the "reign over us" that's the problem - this also backs the point I made earlier that they don't "serve us" - they rule us. If I was Scottish I'd also love "rebellious Scots to quell" - there's a rallying call for independence right there in the national fucking anthem.

I don't get why they go on about "her service to the people and nation" when those same people were and indeed are (in error) happy to refer to themselves as "subjects" - they don't even understand the fucking language of said nation.

They'll use the "mourning" angle to shut down any debate about the future when before the coronation would be a good time. I mean I don't expect any consensus for change but maybe people whose forlocks remain untugged could be heard from just once. That's obviously without any sense of celebration that the woman has died of course.

He'll pay a token amount for a nice headline to save a 150m bill - that's what his mother did when her mother died. (Apologies for the serious point).

Me too. How am I supposed to keep up my game every 3 years average if they call them off? Then again if I can get rid of Charles in 3 years it would be canny.
  7. Aye they were doing building work so the allocation was reduced but I had a mate who lived near Northampton who had tickets in their end so I drove there with the intention of him taking his car to Anfield. Actually where he lives is near her family seat and when we went for a pint at his local we heard some good stories about how her and her mates used to trawl the local villages pre-charles looking for rough
  8. Same day really - at least as the news broke. I was on my way there-only really called off because of David Mellor.

Just came downstairs and switched on the TV -I love how they're tip-toeing around the fact she's deed and they can't say it.

Speed and Suart Adamson out of Big Country - I fucking hate suicides - just such a waste.

They changed it for females but it's not retrospective so Anne's out. I think that would need William and Harry to die though before it would revert back up the tree.

They'd appoint a Regent I think - probably the nonce.

I'm sure I read they plan the funeral and the coronation to be on Saturdays now.

Do you think there's any appetite for another republican debate in Australia when she kicks it? I was surprised when it was rejected so clearly last time but an Aussie I worked with reckoned the proposed alternatives were shite which may have been the main reason.
  17. I would have thought Pochettino would be more suited for such a "big" job.
  18. I honestly don't want to see personal or even corporation taxes rise - I'd target avoidance/evasion and unearned income.
  19. Thing is Labour aren't a tax and spend party under Starmer and Reeves - apart from a windfall tax on energy they've actually argued for no increases at best. I'm guessing they're going for the Johnson/US republican trick of screaming socialism when nothing like it is being offered.
  20. It's Braverman that's the vilest of that lot which is saying something.
  21. Disallowed a goal that might have kept us up in 2009 for Nolan "obstructing" the keeper at a corner after it was highlighted the week before. Something that every team now tries at every corner. Funny how they never picked up on other things highlighted in the same way - Sheringham pulling players out of the wall comes to mind. Tl:Dr - he was an "I'm the star" cunt.
  22. Patel will be biding her time for when Johnson returns.
  23. A mic for Saturday's would have gone something like: "Willock collides with the keeper which prevents him from saving it - foul, no goal" If they didn't consider the push on Willock then they wouldn't have mentioned it - unless there's a second viewer to debate/argue.
  24. It doesn't matter than trickle down is bollocks - just like likening the economy to a household budget or the magic money tree - those concepts are hammered home by the media and ingrained in the average voters mind. If only someone could have the bollocks to point this out without being scared of upsetting focus groups of cunts.
