Joe Royle and that commentator fucking LOVE Bramble. I thought he had a decent game, but you would have thought he was fending off a World XI the way they were going on. Aye, Royle said he'd never put a foot wrong all night about 30 seconds after one of his exocet passes had cannoned off Taylor and nearly put the opposition in on goal. The problem is that Bramble has never in his life managed to perform consistently and therefore is seen as constant threat- for his own team. Bramble on occasion puts in the sort of performance that helps you understand why managers keep him. The problem is he'll then go on in the next game to perform badly and in the next make two shocking mistakes and gift two goals and throw the game away. I honestly think IF you could remove the concentration errors and just bizarre mistakes he makes he'd be a really good player..... but if that was possible I think it would have happened by now (and he'd probably not be playing for us).
