ChezGiven 0 Posted March 14, 2012 Share Posted March 14, 2012 My iPad 2 is set up for business, it's got 'Good' installed on it which is not great but we also have webmail which is much better for handling files. I've got Goodreader, 2screens, Filer etc so can one click files from email and save directly into the reader. On Swisscom I automatically join wifi networks and it's quick wherever I am on 3G. I put presentations in 2screens and can go to meetings and present from the iPad which is so much slicker than pissing about on a laptop. I have loads of papers I need to read so with it not being a device I use for music or photos I can store 100s of papers with loads of apps for fun and work.  I subscribed to BBC iPlayer International for €7 a month which is a bit pricey but I can download all iPlayer content and more (international has access to the archive not just 7 days etc) so before I travel I put 10 shows in my downloads and I have tv on the go wherever I am. This is the best device on the market, decent for work and great for entertainment on the go. My only question is whether the installation of Good which basically means the device can be controlled by remote admin ( I think?) means they could theoretically see if I have been on porn sites. Bottom line is, it's late, am about to knock one off, if I turn on private browsing can anyone see my history etc? I mean, I wouldn't use a work laptop to go on TBLOP but this seems less controlled. JawD 31 Posted March 14, 2012 Share Posted March 14, 2012 Love my iPad for business like. Goodreader is the best PDF reader I have found and I add all of our brochures and price lists etc on there. When we have meetings I use it to present from or just to take notes depending what Im doing and then I can email the notes to my work PC when in the office. I only have the wifi version but its all I need really. If Im working away I get a hotel with wifi and then I have SkyGo to watch whatever I like.
