The government are admitting now that planes won't fly if there is no deal. We've known this for months, but fuck me, the notion a government would voluntarily do this to its citizens is jaw dropping.

Oh aye, and hauliers are turbofucked.

BAMFU.

I can't either but I'm sure either Renton or ewerk have said that it was.

So much info around at the time i guess it passed us by.

It was a huge issue if you were Irish or interested in the region. There was a highly publicised visit by Blair and Major to the border, warning that there was danger of a hard border and breakdown of the GFA.

Most English people, especially of the Brexit persuasion, simply couldn't give a shit and still don't. Given most are older and should remember the troubles, which also directly affected Britain, I find this amazing.

A lot comes down to complacency before the referendum. We are a nation of 4 countries. It's so obvious that all 4 nations should have been unanimous on leave for the vote to carry. All countries deserved equal respect, but as usual England steam rollered everyone else.

It's hard to understand this approach from the unions. There isn't a single deal available that won't harm workers.

The union memberships backed Remain also, as I recall.

WTF is this from Labour, seriously. I've gone along with this whole thing for ages on the basis that honestly, declaring early for Remain wouldn't have been strategically useful IMO. But we're in the home straight now for the whole thing and they've got fucking nothing to lose. Are they really that determined to pick up the UKIP working class that they aren't concerned about losing the middle class left and young in the process? Because they're fucking going to. And we're the ones who got them to where they fucking are in the first place.

McLuskey can just fuck off and he can take McDonnell with him. Corbyn has been fucking anonymous on this so I fully expect that they're operating with his full backing here.

I still haven't cancelled membership because I concluded in the end that there may be a more useful moment in which to do so but how are these people not getting the message. If they don't back Remain on a referendum ticket, I'm not even sure I could vote for them at a GE. Maybe they're relying on people like me being more concerned about denying the Tories than we are about the EU, but the Tories are no fucking threat to me personally. In a straight run off between the options of a socialist Labour government + Brexit and Tory government + Remain, I'll take the latter every fucking time. Even if I have to vote for the Lib Fucking Dems to do it. As ill as it would make me.

This could belonh here or the Trump thread, but I'll stick it here as it could affect us. WTO is on brink of being non-functional because of Trump. Good chance we wont even have WTO to fall back on after March.

Johnson is revealing his plan for a Brexit deal. Outsiders looking in must be entirely bemused by what’s going on in the U.K. as we spend so much time arguing about two approaches that have both already been rejected by the EU.

Festival of Brexit ffs. Every day I wake up and this country has gone further down the rabbit hole. It's a fact most people don't want Brexit, yet these cunts want to make us celebrate it.

Civil war can't come fast enough now. I want every Tory's head, and Ian Lavery's, on a skewer.

It's like living in the twilight zone. Brexit's gone from being unicorns and sunny uplands to a bankrupt airline.

Has there ever been a thicker twat of an MP than Grayling? Possibly Ian Lavery I guess, but it's close.
