yeah, you might be right. and like i said, if elanga is howe's pick then you have to trust him. semenyo has always excited me when i've seen him. he has that maverick technical ability that maxi had but unlike him, he also puts the graft in defensively.

We were interested in Elanga last year though before Forest had the season where their system seemed to click so he's obviously someone we'd been watching for longer than just one season.  We as supporters may be basing everything pretty much on this last season but I've no doubts the club aren't.

Is all this "Newcastle have had a 25 billion rupee bid for Egil Stardust turned down by the player's current club Ulaan Bator Bastards" a direct symptom/consequence of the departure of Staveley and her sub? It sure as fuck feels like it. This isn't a plea for their return. But it wasn't fuckin like this under them. Maybe it's the  prospective selling clubs and the players' no doubt cunty agents being well, cunts but the difference is night and day

It might be the teams were buying from though. Bruno, Trips, Botman, Isak all came from clubs that the likes of Ornstein aren't plugged into.

I don't understand why we're apparently focused on only PL players. If you look at our best transfers since the takeover they're Bruno and Botman (France), Isak and Trippier (Spain) and Tonali (Italy). Tino and Hall we paid for their potential but they've turned out to be great buys. Howe has shown that he can coach players into the league, so we should be looking elsewhere as well to make our PSR dollar go further. I don't think we should sign Pedro. Elanga I do, as long as the price isn't excessive. Trafford if he continues his trajectory he could be an exceptional long term signing, similar to Hall and Livramento.

We're buying the players Howe wants, and I imagine he would prefer to get proven PL players in given the season we're about to have. Bringing players in from abroad means extra time and extra work to get them ready for the PL.

I think the players targeted are open to signing. All the young cheap foreign talent we've targeted in the last couple of years have turned us down eg Etikike and Kushanov. Include Tosin in that although that is slightly different for a couple of reasons. I think he's going for the players he thinks he can get ..

I don’t rate Elanga to be honest. He’ll be okay but I think he need more technical players if we are to go up a notch.

 

Trafford has the potential and Joao Pedro is already good to go.

yeah. I think you’re right, and it makes footballing if not financial sense. Agree with those who question whether Elanga is worth £60m mind. 
 

And it’ll be interesting to see if the PL-ready signings still have to wait on the sidelines until they’re “Eddie ready” too. 

Or if these rumours are a load of shit and we eventually reveal a load of signings from abroad that no one saw coming as we did when Amanda was running tings
