Holden McGroin 9909
Burn has been pretty awesome at CB since he moved there. He also has good qualities that we probably don’t see (great leadership and organisation). Botman will eventually takeover (if he stays fit and in form) but I’ve got no qualms with Burn over Sven at the moment.

Just like a load of managers at past jobs they come in, full of shit, piss and hot wind about doing things their way as if they have the secret code to success. I actually expect at least half these blowhards at all management levels and positions to be bang average at best.

You say he will eventually take over. He's 26 shortly. Yes last two years his injury record has been bad. But at the moment that looks behind him and him and Thiaw are creating a great understanding. I love BDB, but there will be a point soon where we will have to look to the future.

At least he hasn't been here a few months like some.

First thing he should be doing is sticking his boot up Silverstone’s arse. We haven't even brought in any arms-length PIF deals on board since he came in I don't think. Hopkinson is a commercial expert apparently, so maybe he's took one look at Silverstone and bulleted him.

Craig 12386
He's on gardening leave pursuing an opportunity overseas. Fairly certain this isn't him being fired and instead off to pastures new. In terms of impact he's had, he's been here 3 months give a week or two. What was our commercial footprint then as opposed to now? Fairly certain there's a been numerous partnerships setup. Given what our commercial standing was left by Ashley & co, it was never going to be an overnight fix.

It’s no coincidence that the new CEO comes in and then Silverstone is out the door. Watching the teams coming out to warm up the other day and I was wondering why the fuck don’t we have a sponsor for our training kit? That and a training ground sponsor are incredibly easy and uncomplicated deals to get done.

Or maybe he decided a while ago before the new man came in that the game was up here and started looking elsewhere?
Gemmill 63250
On gardening leave and pursuing other opportunities is what they'd say regardless of the circumstances. The timing would suggest that the new CEO wants his own man in the role.

Ayatollah Hermione 17238
Thank Christ. I’m sure he’s done a decent job at commercial level but considering he was starting from zero, I’ll not give him too much praise. Plus, he was the “brains” behind the current ticketing system so he can fuck right off and take his ballot with him

Craig 12386
If, when fit, Botman & Thiaw aren't first consideration for CB then something is wrong. I love BDB to bits, but we cannot justify playing him ahead of those two.
Craig 12386
If available and fit, the following are shoe-ins for selection for me: Tino Botman Thiaw Hall Tonali Bruno Woltemade The other 4 places are up for grabs - right now I'd give Ramsdale a crack in goal, possibly give Ramsey some time in midfield and start with Barnes & Murphy on the flanks.
Holden McGroin 9909
It depends on the opposition. For example, id be tempted to play Wissa over Woltemade in some games (especially away). Id also play Trippier im some games. It's a squad game these days though, isn't it? Burn, Schar, Thiaw and Botman are all quality CBs. Id have now qualms in swapping them around for specific games.

Ayatollah Hermione 17238
Burn will look a lot better when he’s back at centre half. And I imagine he’ll be pretty motivated considering he’s clearly in Tuchel’s thoughts for the World Cup. We mustn’t forget he was maybe POTS for us last year and he was excellent until the shift to LB this season
Dr Gloom 26363
i feel sorry for burn. he offers great competition/depth at LCB with botman but he's not a left back. we shouldn't play him except when we're desperate, as we are currently due to injuries
Gemmill 63250
Part of the reason I think we'll continue to see him in the team is cos Howe won't want to jeopardise his WC chances. Not that I'm saying he isn't worthy of a start at CB mind. I just hope Hall is back at LB as soon as possible.

So true in many or most industries in my experience, I have never understood how senior management (those who actually got to their position through work and nous) manage to be regularly blinded by bullshitters who know the square root of fuck-all. Cunts I've seen breeze into a corporate environment on ludicrous money before being found-out (often way too far down the line, despite it being obvious from the off to staff on the ground) and get fucked off with a good role added to their lie of a CV. Fuck, I've been retired 5 years, thanks for bringing all that up!! I've no idea who y'all were talking about, or what he did or didn't do.
