Don’t really see the value in given a player who is carrying an injury that’s hampering his performance a cameo at the end of a game the team were cruising in. But he’s a Liverpool player who they’ve broken the British transfer record to sign so it’s important to maintain the litany of excuses.

Fair. It's a confidence thing IMO but they won't want to admit that because it'll make their whole chase over the summer look even more stupid, and will also hurt Isak himself who is trying his best to pretend that everything is normal, presumably.

Just caught the game on MotD and it’s noticeable that while Brighton were chasing the game Liverpool had two counter attacks. The first you can see Isak when Liverpool regain the ball but he shows no willingness to get up the pitch and arrives long after the chance has gone. The second one he’s absolutely nowhere to be seen with OAPs Andy Robertson and VVD the ones actually breaking forward.

Both attacks are the type you would say are perfect for Isak with plenty of space to break into and defenders committed up the field.

I’m relieved that we’ve sold him because if he were putting in that sort of performance for us this season we’d all be convinced that’s he’s continued to huff and down tools because he’s been so anonymous it’s incredible.

Not seen anything of the game but from what you say it sounds like he's in a huff, like some pissed off teenager. He's shown himself to be a collosal wanker in the last six months . We might have (finally ) become good sellers. Now all we need is Elanga and Ramsey to kick on. Might help if they assisted in destroying the mackems this afternoon...
