Based in Leeds, but I'm at Dewsbury & District Hospital for deliveries this week. We don't get to specialise until we leave university, this year we're doing a bit of everything. On Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the moment. Not sure what I want to do as a career, I was half considering Obstetrics til I discovered what a craniotomy* was last night.

*I won't describe it here, I've got quite a strong stomach but this really made me feel ill. It is really quite horrific.

Yeah I've been in Jimmy's quite a bit over the years, but only had one placement there - it's luck of the draw where you get sent really. I've been all over - LGI, Bradford, Harrogate, Ponty & Pinders, community pyschiatry in Yeadon, GP in Upton (Pontefract), Cookridge, Chapel Allerton, even Tameside.

Cool

Ponty & Pinders is getting a massive refurb & extensions, its gonna be really nice when its done. I used to live near Chapel A, its rather nice, or was when I was a kid. Cookridge is something else man, I have some bad memories of there due to my mothers final days, she passed away in there, but the place and the people are awesome in there, its sad that there is talk of closing it!

Good luck anyway marra in whatever you do, Leeds is a great place to learn from what I have been told
