5 years after everyone else then ;)

Well I'm not normally looking for mopey quasi-spiritual country -'rock'...Dimbo. ;)

My quest is normally for 6/7 midi'd machines chained and sequenced into electronic sweeps and bleeps...

I've never been too fussed on owt they've released personally.

The new Nick Cave (Skeleton Tree) got perfect scores from The Guardian, Independent, Evening Standard and NME.  And nearly perfect from Clash,Slant, Rolling Stone and All Music.  Sounds worth a listen.  His 15 year old son died during recording, so pretty downbeat though.

I've never been convinced by Cave. He's like the Johnny Depp of morose. :)

My No.2 album of all time...

Classic stuff Parky. By coincidence I've just stumbled across this band The Pains of Being Pure at Heart this morning thanks, of all things, to Pat Nevin's wikipedia page. It's unashamedly derivative from Bloody Valentine, Mary Chain, Belle and Sebastian, possibly a bit of Cocteaus in there as well. No doubt some people wrote it off as rip off but I don't mind that - so far it sounds like quality tune after quality tune. First album seems better than the second so far

Got it on now, definitely downbeat but a great listen.

Jack Whites Acoustic Record - Some gems in there.

Cymbals Eat Guitars - Pretty Years, Not as good as their last album but still pretty good with some nice original sounding songs.
