Seaside Romance, by Sammy J. It's a very pretty and loving song...

"I'll never forget that day, when I picked you up from home

And we drove to the bay, and we were all alone

And we collected shells

And we couldn't stop talking

And I buried you up to your neck in the sand.... (haha)

And then I kept on walking....

You thought I was joking, till I grew out of sight...

And then you started choking as I drove away that night

The sea breeze it grew chilly

And the night was closing in

And the seagulls started pecking at your decomposing skin......"

;) ;)

I especially love the harmony on the phrase "decomposing skin".... who knew that phrase could sound so pretty?

Lighning Bold - Hypermagic Mountain

Again.

Mwwuuhahahahahahahahah. It' good like.

I imagine that when god was getting really pissed off and frustrated and he sent a flood to wipe us out for being so shit, that didn't quite scratch him where he itched so he picked up his bass and tore the fuck out of it and they've just found the tape.

Absoloutley glorious.

Eddie Perfect - September 10.

A satirical rant of a song about how people think they're helping, but they're just fannying about and not worrying about what's actually the problem at the moment (ie: us not using plastic bags, while meanwhile the terrorits are plotting to get us). And being "so damn September 10". It's not neccessarily what he believes... it just makes a good song, that gives you stuff to think about.

My fave line - "your sponsoring of third world children - save one child: reject one million.." ;) Way to shine a bad light on a good thing, Edmund!

System of a Down - Hypnotize

The second part of the double album mesmerize/hypnotize. Still on the first listen but the album seems to be a bit more disjointed (as is SOADS style) then the previous one.

Whenever I come back to this thread, I get that Paranoid song back in my head!

Currently listening to a song entitled "John Howard's Bitches"...

"He's gentle, he's caring, he's old but he's wise

He's one of those trustworthy elderly guys,

He makes our decisions and speaks for us which is

Why I am one of John Howard's Bitches..."

Oooo..... ironic punches in a silky sweet singing voice... love it!

No one can sing lines like this as sweetly as Mr Eddie Perfect:

"He's a man of integrity, honour and class,

He'll lie in your ear while he's fucking your arse..."

Shuffle...

Beastie Boys - Body Movin' (Fatboy Slim Remix) much prefer it to the original (which is great anyway).

The Coasters - Charlie Brown - "He calls the English teacher Daddy-o" ;) .

Six Organs of Admittance - Lisboa - Repetitive acoustic loveliness

Ice-T - Warning - "Dirty Low Slut Tramp Bitch Ho Nigger Fuck Shit" ;)

Morcheeba - Over and Over - They were soooooo good. What happened?
