I've got a signed copy of his book "From St. Tropez to St. James". I can't even begin to tell you how bad it is.

Me mam got me brother that for his birthday, whilst getting it signed she got a snog off Ginola.

 Nice!

I just got one of the gyppo copies that was lying around in Waterstones after he'd left. Weeks after, actually. I didn't queue to meet him or owt like that.

I preferred Ginola to Robert personally. I think I was younger when Ginola was around though, and had more of a romantic outlook on football than I had by the time Robert started getting on my tits with his non-performances. I don't remember Ginola's non-performances being as bad, but I might be guilty of rose-tinted spectacles stuff.

Robert was MUCH better than Ginola. Their stats back that up.

Agreed.

When Ginola was good he was very good, but when Robert was good he was phenonenal. Just a pity Robert had a tendancy to lose interest at times.

Completely disagree and would say the reverse. Hence why when Ginola left he went to sa good team and still produced. Also Roberts habit of sending the ball into row z constantly was not a ginola trait.

I notice the two main Robert fans in the thread were both only 11 when Ginola signed for us, but were of a much more reasonable age when Robert did. Not that I'm suggesting that that means anything about their opinion of Ginola.
