Anyway, only time will tell how effective these strikes were and what Iran does. The only guarantee at the moment seems to be that the next generation is going to grow up in a less safe world than we did.
-
Given what has happened in the last few years, if you think Iran is more dangerous than Israel, nothing I'll say will convince you otherwise. Yes they've engaged in proxy wars and deserve criticism for it but the list of countries that have done that is long and hardly reason to believe they'd use nukes willy nilly.
-
Yeah that's what further lopsided, can anyone remember the last time Iran invaded another country? What's the count for the US and Israel again? I mean by all means get rid of nukes and then bomb the lone fecker that refuses to do it. You can't pick and choose. Especially when the only country that has nuked a civilian population and another one that refuses to sign the NPT and has undeclared nukes are telling others that they're the unstable ones

Invariably, long term it will produce more insurgency, Israel will never sleep at peace. And the US has destroyed whatever little credibility it had left, other nations will push for arms from China and we will all live in a much more dangerous world. Who knew arming and funding a genocidal maniac in the middle east could have resulted in this? Iran signed a deal that Trump tore up. Then they were negotiating with the US when Israel struck. Then they were negotiating with Europe when the US struck but they're the bad guys in all this supposedly. And look at the posturing from Israel and US too btw, "we've struck your nuclear facilities but now YOU must negotiate for peace or die" I mean ok This is nothing but modern colonialism and imperialism and eventually it will meet the same fate that all empires do.

40M for Quansah being mentioned in the media. That would explain why they paid so much for Wirtz. Shades of the Anderson/Vlad deal here.

Ummmm, no
-
Yes from my experience working in the Middle East. Lazy, not just cautious. If the Prince who signs the checks is travelling you can be sure nee fecker is getting paid till he's back. But you'd still think a conglomerate like PIF should act a lot faster. At some point someone's got to look at the whole exec situation and think we've got to do tons betters ffs. It's clearly having an impact, and I'm not fussed about transfer activity yet but for instance when's the stadium decision due again? Our rivals are not dallying about.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Shame, would have been fun to see them struggle in the bottom half again next season. -

The phrase "very unique" is often considered incorrect by traditional grammar standards because "unique" means "one of a kind"—something either is unique or it isn't, so it can't logically be "very" unique. However, in modern usage, especially in informal or creative contexts, people sometimes use "very unique" to emphasize how unusual or distinctive something is. While it's not technically precise, it's increasingly accepted in casual speech and writing. I'm just modern, you dinosaur.

I don't see Howe letting Tino go unless we're talking silly 100M+ money. He's a very unique player, not just a great defender already but he's one of our best ball carriers and he links up play very well. If he adds a bit of end product going forward he'll be world class, and there were signs of that already towards the end of the season when he took Hall's position down the left. Another year or two under Howe will see further development, he's only turned 22.

At least we have a summer of brilliantly insightful analysis from chicken nonce to look forward, I mean the man clearly works his socks off and presents his case so well " I think this player would be great in the team", Mindblown,

Might want to pass on a player that even CHELSEA think is overpaid and shite The reaction to Mboonio news is way over the top, but then thats just social media for you. We may have been interested in him but it's not like he was the only target for the summer ffs. A massive part of what Howe does is have players that believe in this team and where he's taking them. We'll be fine as long as we add 3-4 quality players and some depth to the squad. And that's obviously not going to be straightforward.
-
Yeah I'm not fussing over Mboomino or whoever in particular because that could all just be media noise about us being interested. But in general, there must obviously be frustration at the club about last summer and the continuous leadership turmoil at the club. That's why Howe must have made those comments. Whoever our real targets our, we cant sit around on our arses anymore. And with the time new recruits take to get upto speed on Howe's standards, we should be trying to get them in quickly anyway. That's all theory, people will say lots of moving pieces in reality etc and not easy to get difficult deals done but even though there's truth to that its clear we've not had clear alignment in the club and we need to act decisively like a trophy winning Champions league club now.
