I’m not sure he’ll be a long term replacement. He’ll add some competition to places. Botman and Lascelles aren’t going to be back until ~Jan so we are threadbare at the minute. Kelly would be handy to add for the same reason to LCB/LB. Both are free which would open up cash to be spent on Mbappe.

I’d love Paqueta in our team btw. If we signed Mbeumo (who could probably do a job as the third striker as well as winger) and him whilst picking up a couple of new defenders on the cheap (eg Tobin and Kelly) - then we’d be in with a top 4 finish.
