Steve Kean is looking like the new favourite, with Jol slowly drifting, and Diego's odds taking a tumble. Dave Jones seems to have some backing him too for some reason. And Ladbrokes has Paul Ince at 20/1 . I think Merson and Gillespie must have fallen off the waggon again and lobbed a few grand that way!

On a sidenote, John Carver is favourite for the Sheffield Utd job. He was a long serving coach with your team wasn't he?
-
I wouldnot sign Santa Cruz. Too injury prone, wages too high and will use the Spanish speaking media to engineer another move. I suppose it can be hard working with no money, trying to find bargain bin players to 'do a job', and then have new owners suddenly demanding you look for bigger names to make a bold statement of intent. British manager? lets see how Steve Kean does before we bring in Pearce or O'Neill.

I wonder if The Big Sam is considering the 'new challenge' ??
-
I just fear some sort of situation that makes the club some sort of shallow, contrived shit like X-Factor where it all geared to make Venky's and their own Simon Cowell figure (Jerome Anderson) loads of cash. One story has it that Sam fell out with the new regime because he refused to sign Boyd and Geovanni, clients of Mr. Anderson's SEM agency. If true, then Rovers will look like a SSN rent-a-mong circus act.

Karma has been reversed since Hale Bopp hit Jupiter. You gave us Darren Peacock, and Keith Gillespie.
-
We sent you Graeme Souness too. The next EDL march/fight will probably be in Blackburn.
-
As things stand, quite a few teams will finish above us. The Indians are about as popular as Ashley and Llambias at the moment.
-
John Williams has resigned. This is a bigger blow as he was instrumental in keeping the club going during the Walker Trust years, when we had no money to spend. It looks like we're going to be run by someone who knows anything about football, and an agent. Rovers were a very well run club, but now I think we're replacing your team as the Premier League's basket case.

He might just be a figurehead, and the real work with the tactics/training might be dealt with by sane people. At least I hope so. We might go for your Argie players if he did come in. Christ, whoever it'llbeI'll just laugh and hope for the best. The sensible option would be Jol, or perhaps a Shearer/Hughton partnership, but I don't think we're due a sensible second half of the season. At least the transfer windows might be interesting. Ladbrokes now has Souness at 10/1!, whilst Betdaq has the odds shortening on Hughes and Rjikaard, with everyone else, including the favourite Jol drifting. Good thing I don't have a heart condition.

If it was Diego, backed up by a team of world class coaches, then it might just work. If he was expected to be more than an enthusiastic figurehead, then it will be one hell of a mental ride. Like the mine cart scene from Indiana Jones, except with your trousers on fire, and a whole chorus of Canadian celebrities singing the Uncle fucker song as you pass them en route to a very big cliff. I'd also like to see Diego in England Kevin.............just not really at Ewood Park.
-
Vic Chandler's odds have been pulled from oddschecker now, William Hill is not letting you put a bet on, but Ladbrokes still do. So it looks like it is between Jol, and....................Maradona???!
-
No, but then I do tinker with the database, so we are a bit bigger reputation wise.
-
Things could become as bad as when you were relegated if we're not careful. There were stories of friction between Sam and Venky's over who decided transfers etc., since we have Kentaro on board, but I don't know if that is a 2+2=5 story. I worry that we'll have a yes man in charge, who'll let Jerome Anderson and SEM flog their clients regardless of need and ability. Martin Jol is the bookies' early favourite which isn't too bad, with Curbishley (no thanks), Sven (no way), Alan Shearer (?) and O'Neill (maybe) about 10/1ish. Other names are Bob Houghton (who?), David Jones, Chris Hughton and Paul Lambert. Victor Chandler has your other favourite guy, Phil Brown at 8/1 for some reason. EDIT: Something must be up, I had oddschecker running, and a load of bookies have stopped running odds. Only VC and Betdaq are still offering oddswith Jol 2/1. And now The Mirror have put up a story saying Maradona is on his way!!! Source: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Black...icle650769.html

Arse. At least it sounds like we'll be able to spend some money for once this Janurary.

Pretty much my view Catmag. -
JFK, Lawrie Sanchez, Peter Reid, Barry Fry, Steve Cotterill or Christian Gross will be your next boss.

Funny how it seems to be sci-fi shows that provide the source material.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! David Icke was right all along. Nick Clegg doesn't seem to mind though judging by that picture. Probably looking to make a move in order to form a coalition when the alien lizard types complete their plan.

Funny how Jerry Sadowitcz isn't on TV, considering Fankie stole most of his act. -
Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Billy Castell replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
To me Hughton seemed the polite kind of guy who'd quietly get on with things, but have a word with Ashley about the need to improve the squad behind the scenes. He probably did that a bit toooften for Ashley's liking.- 10610 replies

I think Gazza might end up running towards the home fans' end with a KFC and a fishing rod on Saturday judging by your reactions.- 10610 replies

For Certain. Looks like he might have given her a pearl necklace at least. Can't help thinking of that episode of Blackadder goes forth with the German spy.
