I cant wait to see this guy in action. After watching some of his youtube clips, he seems very keen on getting forward, quite footwork and a decent cross on him. Plus he took corners for Inter, could be interesting. That would allow Cabaye to sit on the edge of the box for the volley. Think we shall soon see a wicked full back. And also think that we have had two of the best signings of the window in Cabaye and Santon.

At first, I think it will be tight because Barton can pretty much draw up the game tactics on his own. But on the other hand, our midfield is so much stronger, and a good solid back line at the moment. So I could see us giving them a hiding, and then Barton getting pissed and getting shown red. What makes me laugh with all you critics on here that his record is better than most strikers since Shearer. Works hard, scores goals. Get off his back and get behind him. He may not be the best ST, but the effort and so far, the rewards are there.

Is so funny! The only cheeses he knows is cheddar, feta and babybell. He said something though that was very true. At the time we were relegated, he was England U21 captain, scoring more than the strikers too. And he stuck by us, instead of jumping ships like a lot. Now I don't think he gets the credit on here that he probably deserves. They also showed him the clip of the handball on the line where he goes down like he was shot. The deal fell through because Simpson's deal fell through. Ridgewell was to replace Enrique and Santon to replace Simpson. Tbh I like Simpson, but he has been caught so many times already this season out of position.

I think he has done fantastic for us so far. Same (if not lower) performance to Hughton at the end of last season. But understandably with the way it happened, and also the fact that he inherited another man's squad. Now he has some of his own players, a draw with Arsenal and wins against Sunderland and Fulham surely shows that he can do it and that he can now manage. Whatever happens from now is how he should be judged. How many people on here work for someone who is not good? Doesn't matter for him at the end of the day, it is a job which he took on and I think we should give credit where it is deserved to him. Against what a lot of people are saying, I don't believe he has lied to us, I think he is genuinely told all of this. Should he leave? I hope not. Chances are we will lose a lot more players if he does because no other decent manager will come in. And as much as I am disappointed about the lack of striker signing, we have done very very well to get Santon, Cabaye, Ba, Marveux and Obertan.

Don't think this is bad business. Harper is nearing the end and Forster wouldn't sit on the bench to Krul. Plus if we spent 'big' cash on a keeper, Krul is likely to leave. So as back-up, it's ok. Pards worked with him at Charlton so must know if he can cut it
