Can't give it to Smith or Perch, we knew they were shit. Krul failed to live up to the hype.

I'm very surprised you have a bottle neck on space. I would move to another host. Disk cost drops all the time so your host might be willing to give you more to stop you leaving. If you want to stay where you are, you could always archive everything pre 2009 to archive.toontastic.net to a cheap host. As it's only an archive, it can be cheap as chips.

I cant see religion dying out until we encounter aliens. Although the Bible rewrite was swept under the carpet, so maybe it can be rewritten again.

I used to think this, but he's been a really good impact sub. If he did go out, we'd have to make sure his attitude didn't go off track.

That's a bit harsh, not many mortgages are transferable without prior authorisation - credit checks etc... It was either a school boy error by a billionaire and his legal team (unlikely) or a lie to get away with spending nowt while he got the debt under control.

link?

of course, then it will be "give him until january" from the usual idiots. Our two best player were bought in the summer.

Our TV money in the PL last time was £38m...so we're £17m better off now according to your £55m figure But like I said above, other turnover was £12m down....and I can't see it rising due to PL status so it's only really £5m better off. Last time we were in the PL we turned a loss of £32.5m though. So assuming the same wages...we'd be running a loss of £27m. These accounts say the wages were £47m, down from £71m.... a £24m saving. That leaves us a £3m loss....before you add Ben Arfa and Tiote's wages (assuming they're more than Carroll's) These are all fag packet numbers, but I think the assumption of a hefty profit this time next year is rash. You are missing player sales. Most of the players that have left us will have been on payment plans. As the books are April-to-April, we'll have the second year payments to include. HBA wages will be picked up via the insurance.

Reo-Coker is out of contract in the summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make the move up here. He'd be a decent squad player, quite a good engine on him from what i remember of the West Ham and U21 days. link

I only saw the first half as i had training, but from what I saw I think Ghana should be a regular fixture as they really seemed up for it, even though it was a friendly. Totally agree about Gyan, he's got much more about him than Bent. I've never rated Downing as he doesn't like using his right foot so any decent full back would have him in his pocket.

They'll have been playing five-a-side. I've been caught out a few times myself - beetroot face etc...

isn't there ? I can think of a few, who have actually said they "back him"....he's in his 4th year of owning the club man, they should have him sussed by now. I think the club is on the right track. If he invests 15-20m in the summer on two or three players of the same standard as Tiote and HBA, we'll be a comfortable top half team - in and around the European places.

Does the £500 billion bailout not count expenditure? But hey, £200 billion can just be printed. Quantitative easing

Doomsday?

I'd say it was neutral for most people. The new growth predictions are very bad for everyone though. Given the circumstances and the Tories history it could have been a lot worse. I do think the Lib-dem have had a good influence. 10% to Charity, improving gift aid, 10k tax allowance on track. They said pre-election that the supply2.gov.uk contracts would favour local and startup companies. It would have been nice to see something set aside in the budget specifically for that - as cost cutting will make it impractical. As for the 1% corporation tax, it would have been better to collect it and setup low cost business loans in areas that have high government employment. Or maybe even let companies opt into a scheme where they can spend 1% on outsourced employee training.
-
Has it been a bad budget for anyone?

I was glad to see the promise of a 10k tax allowance is still being keep. There were also lots of small steps to get rid of red (ironic) tape Was anyone else miffed at hearing several Labour MPs harping on about VAT rise. The cheeky feckers.

Missing my point entirely.

the going rate. Unfortunately, if you want to join them, you have to match them. No 19 year old should be on 50k. Bad planning on Arsenals part or they didn't rate him highly enough to sign him up to a long deal. As soon as Ranger started to show promise we signed him up for 5 years.

The best young player around is Alex Chamberlain at Southampton.

The ground is owned by the city council, not Ashley. I meant the stadium.
-
Thats how much he paid the Hall's and Shepherd for their shares in 2007, which made the club hugely overpriced. Now how much has he put in since then? Never played any online management game but it doesn't appear to be very accurate from what you've said there. Don't believe the spin, Ashley got the club for a fair price, which took all the debt into consideration. The ground alone is worth 300m. Ashley messed up by not knowing the mortgage (around £50m) was repayable straight away when the club was sold.

No he wasn't. Stone was No, Pardew was Yeah it was definitely Pardew and he's deserves a lot of credit for bringing Ranger on, it stopped them getting back into the game.
-
I can't see Pardew being dictated to like that. He proper threw his toys out the pram at West Ham. The rumour I heard during the Keegan scandal was the board set out player criteria - age, wage, sell-on ability etc... and Keegan ignored it putting forward players like Hypia and Gareth Barry. I really don't see Pardew as a fool, he knows what he's up against. A Machiavellian summer is certainly on the card and he know it.
