Read about him being away from home as he was appointed England manager and a reporter jamming his foot in the door and asking his wife who was trying to get out with her wheelchair bound mother for an interview. She told him could he please move and she didn't do that type of stuff and he replied 'you better fucking start, then'. What vile people journalism has amongst it's ranks.

I remembering hearing this a while ago. Apparently used to jump on the train after Watford training and stand in the old gallowgate the odd time. Obviously a MMF rather than a MLF.

Despite the England business he came across as a genuine football person that just loved the game in a way I don't think the likes of Pardew and Allardyce will ever will.

I'll stay here and take my chances with Johnny Decker in Wallsend after reading about the tramp situation in California, tbh.

You must've recorded that!

My Mam, Dad and sister are thinking of moving there. Apparently the estate agents are now calling it the 'saga belt'.

I knew someone went on a stag do, had a canny drink, no typical stag do t shirt bollocks kind of thing, everyone had a good time but then tragically, a week later, the poor cunt got married.

 I knew it was someone black but could've been anybody IIRC?

Just glad to hear you're OK, Cath!

It is, but makes the common error of assuming/not recalling that Shearer never joined a humdrum, average side but instead joined the main contenders for Man U's new dominance of the title.

I wouldn't recommend that BTW. I once did it in Anne Summers shop and was arrested. -

Sounded shit, and a replay we probably don't need. And our main back up forward sounds as though he's got a bad injury. -
Think it's 55. It's a disgrace tbh.

Man U v Reading on the TV, man. fucking diabolical decision if you're selling the magic of the cup.

Is this £33M to be added to the debt? Two Ashley relegations, he pays the initial price but puts it on the tab for a potential buyer to pay off. (Or asset strips if he wants to claw money back).

I'd say it's more Thatcher's/Moynihan's legacy tbh.

The crowd's as bad as it's ever been especially considering the circumstances. I suppose it's even worse for me seeing I've been away from it for a few years. There's so many there that blatantly don't give a fuck or are just expecting something unrealistic. Almost feels like I'm supporting a new club. Even the kids that try and make an effort are fucking clueless when it comes down to it. Maybe I'm just too stuck in my ways.

I joined up to NO a while back but just couldn't get away with it. Probably couldn't be arsed to get into it to be honest.

Is that what it was?

Err.....not sure if I'm missing something but if that's gold then every thread ever on here is gold too.

The missus used to work somewhere where she liked it, but the boss used to just make rules up as she went along. I used to tell her what she could and couldn't do, our lass would repeat it and eventually the boss asked if I could go in and have a talk in front of everyone there as she said she was very impressed with my knowledge on workers rights and there wasn't anyone there with that knowledge, (basically admitting her and manager hadn't a clue). My knowledge on workers rights was just the pretty basic stuff tbh. I politely declined.
