Sadly, I think if he ever came back, it would only end in tears again. And probably not the tears of joy from a cup win. It's not going to happen, and we should, and probably deep down already know this.

As long as NUSC is around, and I hope it's for a very long time, it will always be a case of "you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't", sadly. Hopefully they'll realise this and not let it prevent them acheiving what they feel is best for the club. Not everyone is going to agree with when / how / why / what they do, but I still think things would a lot worse without their presence.

We need to stay up and in the summer things will be clearer as we rid ourselves of the big wage boys who are crippling the club and not even available (often) for selection. I think we'll struggle to shift any ones that aren't out of contract. And Nicky Butt is getting another year on his contract...

I presume that last comment was sarcasm ? Never has a comment been so sarcastic. Can't stand Kinnear, and he sums up everything that's wrong with this club at the minute.

Don't blame it on Owen, don't blame it on Freddie

Makes me fucking sick when I see it. So glad I sit in the Strawberry corner and can't see it during the match. -
1-0 down in a very important game, against a struggling team, 20 minutes to go, what do you do? Aye, take off the only player who looks like scoring and keep on someone who has the shooting technique of a 7 year old girl. Thank god Joe will be back to save us soon eh.

Bookmakers have been deluged with bets on Rafa Benitez leaving Liverpool. The odds on Benitez not being Liverpool's manager at the start of the 2009/10 season have been slashed to just 2/5 by Sky Bet. Sky Bet's Dale Tempest said: "Discussions between Benitez and the club on a new contract seem to have been going on for ages and, if the money we've seen this morning is correct, it would seem that those negotiations have broken down." The bookies also list former manager Kenny Dalglish as the 3/1 favourite to be Liverpool manager at the start of next season. Meanwhile, William Hill report that they have been 'forced to suspend their betting on the next Premiership manager to go after Rafa Benitez was backed off the boards by Hill's customers to be the ninth manager to go.' "We would be very surprised if Rafa is still the Liverpool boss by midnight on Sunday," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Is that because it'll never happen?

Is it not "Joe Kinnear's black and white army"?

Hope it goes well for them and well done for all the effort they have been putting in. Saying that... I'll be in the pub.

I'd be happy on Xisco's money and not having to do a lot for it!

Not unless those beers that you pre-order are free.... which of course they aren't, and are watered down to a disgusting level.

Had £117 in me Sky Bet account, and stuck the lot on. Balance is now £175.50 Think I'll stick some of that on Villa tonight at 10/11, this Russian team haven't played for 10 weeks. Villa 0-1 CSKA HT

You've got many layers to you though...

Well I think they're going to need to get a foreign manager in if they persist with this DoF set up...

I really thought we'd sent him back... another JFK lie!? NEWCASTLE UNITED’S forgotten man Ignacio Gonzalez could yet emerge from his Toon nightmare to play a part in the Magpies’ Premier League survival bid. The Uruguay international arrived at St James’s Park on the final day of the August transfer window. And his signing was thought to be one of the straws that broke the camel’s back for Kevin Keegan, with the former United manager walking out on the club shortly after Gonzalez signed on a year-long loan deal from La Liga big boys Valencia. Yet the South American has barely been seen since, with just two substitute appearances against Hull City and West Ham all the 26-year-old has to show for his efforts on Tyneside after the recurrence of a serious Achilles injury restricted him to a period of isolation at the club’s Benton HQ. The midfielder, nicknamed Nacho, netted 45 goals in 170 appearances for Danubio in Uruguay and was keen to shine in the Premier League before being struck down by injury. Hughton told the Chronicle: “I’m sure we will see Nacho this season. “I really do feel for him. “It’s been incredibly frustrating for him. “This is a lad who has missed most of the season apart from two appearances against Hull and West Ham. “He’s missed almost every game. “I feel for him because he came here on a year’s loan to show what he can do. “He came here to play and that has been the big disappointment for him.” Gonzalez has been scheduled for a mid-March return but, with just a handful of games left to play this season, he could return to the Mestalla a disappointed figure despite some high hopes when he first signed for the Magpies. After the 3-1 loss at West Ham shortly after KK’s departure, Gonzalez said: “I am here for a one-year deal but maybe this could be permanent if it goes well. “I came to Newcastle to play games and the Premier League is one of the best stages in the world to do that.” Gonzalez spent time on loan at Monaco last season, making five appearances and scoring one goal at Stade Louis II with the principality club.

It's justified though, every support that comes here is wank apart from Man Utd. When people claim "we're the best fans around", it's not that fucking difficult to attain that status. I think it's the era we live in. Villa, Spurs, Sunderland, Everton...they're all shit, the only teams you notice that are good are teams who come up and that sharp wears off*. *Man Utd aside. Their away support, which as Keane pointed out are obviously the hard core genuine and most likely locally based fans, have been top notch for years now. Shame about the Sky boys and day trippers that have ruined their home atmosphere.

The Zaire team who just constantly kicked the ball away before the other team took the free kick... cracks me up every time I see that.
