Probably on account of the fact he's effectively given the court 'no fixed abode' as his address. I'm presuming that instead of specifically requesting him to live with Nolan, the court has instructed the club that his bail conditions are that he has to reside with someone who can keep an eye on him - club captain seems to be their choice.
  2. Ah the memories! Always bizzarre to think Stimson actually got a game in the Keegan promotion season, you'd completely forgotten the likes of him were about, with the way it was going under KK! Funniest thing I remember about Stimson was that game we played Wolves and we needed a win 0-0 20 mins to go Stimson having a shocker, and he pulled Steve Bull down and got sent off for a professsional foul. When the ref put the red card in the air it was cheered more loudly than any game that season by all four corners of the ground. LB Stimson though and Cornwell was a CH. Cornwell was LW wasn't he?
  3. i wuz actually out with the ones from work You shagged some fat bird who come in looking for a burger didn't you?
  4. I'm guessing Calderwood then? Whilst we're at it I'm hearing rumours that Middlesbrough are making an announcement at 5pm. Strachan gone?

Good of him to step in and take him under his wing like. Hope it has the desired effect because Carroll's in danger of ruining his career at this rate. I'm guessing it's got something to do with him being club captain? Condition of bail as well I'm guessing - i.e. he either stays with Nolan or stays in the clink.

She deserved it, she's a munter. Got nowt on your 20 stone hoof, has she dimebar?
  8. Posted it in GC but just for good measure...
  9. I'm telling you, it'll be red and blue striped shirts before long with Ashley et al trying to appease us all by saying something along the lines of "not to worry, it's still Newcastle United underneath them". Fuck off you cockney prick!
  10. Press association reporting he's refusing to sign a new deal. Hype's getting ridiculous like if the PA are breaking with stories like that mind you.
  11. Something that has been evident in SAF's 20 odd year tenure at OT is that no one player is bigger than him. Rooney is no exception to that rule IMO and it's very comparable to when Ince was sold - remember all the 'you can't win anything with kids' comments? Ferguson will replace with someone equal if not better.

In that event we'll have to look forward to Championship football again me thinks

Arrested and charged again?? We best be looking at a new striker come January I think
  14. 20 month He'll be gone by the summer then, perhaps even January. SAF won't risk getting nothing at all for him.
  15. No he won't be, nor should he be. Should he leave the football club in the very near future, CH would be the first manager since Sir Bobby to leave the club in a generally better state than when he took over. Souness, Roeder, Allardyce, Keegan (sadly), Kinnear & Shearer all failed to progess the team during their tenures. Secondly I think we're been somwhat spoilt by the reputations of most of the men who've been managing us for the last 20 years - so much so that we almost believe we're entitled to a big name manager. Ardlies, Keegan, Dalglish, Gullit & Souness were all well known on the world stage as players. Sir Bobby of course was a respected manger both of club and country. The appointments of Roeder, Allardyce & Hughton were never welcomed as much as manager - of course neither was Souness. Hughton is in a way comparable to Arthur Cox - relative unknown but who has quietly gone about the job with limited funds and limited fuss. And there's certainly been positve steps forward. Just hope the current board treats him better than the mess that Cox worked under...
  16. Hmmm - I have a feeling there's some truth in this one - not unlike the Beckham situation when many was saying there's no way on earth he'd leave and he did. He'll leave the country as well though - there's not a cat in hell's chance he'll end up at Eastlands. How long's his contract got to run?
  17. Hey Kelvin, take it from me, you don't want Woy to be in charge of a fat wedge of cash. I speak from experience.
