Andy Carroll aftermath(press conf/interviews etc)
shackbleep replied to Barney's topic in Newcastle Forum
Look no further than this.... No bid then. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=835061 And then there's this little bundle of joy Can you really see AC agreeing to fuck US over in that way? What loyalty does he have to us? Quite a lot, i would say. I'll happily take a charity bet of £100 on whether he will be here in Feb. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=835110 Wish I'd taken you up on that offer Chez -
From: http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/pardew..._sale_1_2999676 So in other words Carroll asked the club for parity with what Liverpool were offering and was told to fuck off? And why would he approach Pardew about a contract when it's been made crystal clear that the manager doesn't handle contract negotiation? The press conference will yield nothing either. Pardew will dodge the questions and what we'd really like to know won't be answered. I take the 'promise' of re-investment of the full £35m with a pinch of salt too. Lying thieving bastards.
-
They won't because quite clearly all that is genuine. I don't think AC is intelligent or conniving enough to manufacture this, I believe he is gutted, I think it's clear as day the Wraith stuff is true, and if tomorrow was replayed today like Groundhog Day, Carroll would not have wanted it to end up like it has. He'll get a wake up call if he has a few bad games though because their fans are vicious. Aye people are giving Carroll too much credit in terms of intelligence IMO. Quite possibly thought he didn't have an option and I wouldn't put it past Mike and Dekka to manipulate the situation into him believing that to be fact. Also if he genuinely didn't want to go he's been terribly advised but then all agents are interested in is getting their wedge. Having a player on your books who doesn't command a transfer at least once in his career surely represents lost income to those fucking scallys?
-
Should be fairly easy for the club to quash those texts as bollocks if they didn't happen. I bet they won't though
-
Looks like he's halfway there then. Only 3½ years of this cunt before he recoups his cash and fucks off

Liverpool bid £35 million+ for Carroll
shackbleep replied to DesperateDannyB's topic in Newcastle Forum
he won't give a fuck, and quite right too. Small time parochial attitudes, why should he care ? There is only one winner here, and that is Liverpool. While we have signalled our intention to concede ourselves to be an inferior 2nd rate club again, they have signalled their intention to get back among the winners. If you want to win, you gamble and take chances. Liverpool have sold Torres to Chelsea - trust me they wont be celebrating. Buying a target man when they have sh*te wingers is a bad move for them. They needed midfielders. Lucas is awful. They'll sort that one when Ashley Young goes there in the summer IMO. -

Beardsley Waddle and Gazza all went in much the same circumstances. A bit of initial anger soon blows over Similar but not the same. The wages that Carroll was on here were still astronomical compared to most normal people; comparatively speaking, the three you mentioned weren't on anything like that sort of money. We sold Gazza for £2m. They all left for clubs who had more ambition. They were all already earning more money than most people could dream of, but not as much as they would earn elsewhere. Seems pretty much the same to me, and speaking as somebody who is old enough to have been there it feels pretty much exactly the same as well. I got a text earlier from someone who has lived through this before who said the wheel has now turned full circle. This leaves us much closer to where we were pre Keegan than even the relegation It's remarkably familiar to when we got rid of Gascoigne IMO. Young player, considered 'England's future' being touted by one club ahead of us on form but ending up signing for another who are currently on a par with us. For Liverpool 2010 read Spurs 1988 and for Spurs 2010 read Man Utd 1988. We are now back in the days of McKeag and co. Big difference being that those fuckers literally couldn't afford to keep the likes of Gazza. Ashley could have kept Carroll on the wages he's getting at Liverpool but chose not to. -
Tbf there'll be no one sicker about this than Leazes. Get fucked man he'll be gloating about it for months. "Are you learning yet lad". He thinks Ashley fucking up makes Shepherd great, his very basic logic will conclude nothing else. Notwithstanding whatever anyone thinks about Shepherd..........we are a selling club, and we do lack ambition. I think this transfer window proves that and I expect that most of the Carroll money will disappear into fatty's pocket. Not really fair to say we are a selling club. 35m is crazy money. More to the point we are not a buying club! Phil, to my mind we're a selling club when we flog one of our best players to one of the "big boys" without any plans whatsoever to replace his goals. So we massively weaken our first team at the worst possible time simply because we get a great offer for him. I don't have a problem with selling him as everyone has their price and I agree it's crazy money....but not reinvesting straightaway in a top notch replacement says selling club to me. Are you deluded? He got sold today with barely any time left. There was a lack of planning and being prepared for such a massive bid but no-one really expected it. Don't get me wrong, I hate Ashley but we will only be a selling club; if come the summer, we haven't spent nee-enough £40million (i.e reinvest the money). Until then, it is an unfair general statement to make. Naivity of epic proportions there like. Liverpool were organised enough to have a replacement lined up - why couldn't we have done the same? And don't give me this clap-trap that we only sold him 10 minutes before the window shut. It was pretty much accepted on here at lunchtime that he was going by which point the club would have known for some time. More than enough opportunity to re-invest but as I said last night, Ashley is on a quest to cancel out that £100m he leant the club to cover the losses he would have found out about if he'd done due dilligence. We're suffering because he failed the most basic of all business tasks. I hold the Halls partly responsible too. The club made their mind up at half 2 when they cancelled the presser. We then started bidding at half 10. I reckon it was done before that like but your point is valid.

I'll have to update my spreadsheet at work tomorrow What's the best guesses for wjhat we paid for.... Danny Simpson Wayne Routledge Mike Williamson Leon Best James Perch Cheick Tiote ? And that's precisely why every purchase has been for an undisclosed fee. So Ashley can bury the amounts in the books and doesn't have to stand to account when sales don't get re-invested because no-one is actually sure how much he has spent and recouped. Stinks to high heaven.

i still don't get why the fuck we weren't in for robbie keane. Wages. He'd have laughed at whatever paltry sum would have been offered.

Liverpool bid £35 million+ for Carroll
shackbleep replied to DesperateDannyB's topic in Newcastle Forum
Because he agreed to the transfer? Some people are saying the club have forced the sale through, others are saying that other club's willingness to meet an extortionate price and Carroll's willingness to leave pushed the sale through. Two different stories imo. Impossible without Carrolls agreement. Not what Carroll text Steve Wraith. Yup. And there's more to this than meets the eye IMO. -

I'm hearing that apparently one of our conditions of the sale was that the fee was undisclosed. Why the secrecy Mike? -
aythangoooo Im not going to do a Leazes but that is something Ive said all along, hes not done it in anything like the way I expected ie a fire sale and leaving us screwed but bit by bit hes taking the money he "invested" and doesnt give a fuck what it does to the club. The same will happen with Ben Arfa, Tiote and anyone else that looks good, once a good offer comes in they'll be sold and a lower quality signing replace them on the hope the same happens again. At some stage he'll sell us for £200m and end up about £100m in profit with no thought for what its done to our club. Lets just hope thats before its too late. What's more, because he sticks them on such a shite basic retainer, any club who does come in for them is bound to offer a better package and thus turn their head.
-
He's getting his money back one way or another. Just as Peasepud said a long, long time ago. Sooner we're rid of this fucker the better.
-
At least they tried though, eh? Get the fuck out of our club man you cockney cunts.
-
We learn our lesson like...
-
Wasnt it Ireland we wanted from Man City but didnt think to include him in the Given deal? Groundhog day, then they'll make a big thing about how they tried for him but Liverpool wouldnt play ball. Michael Johnson wasn't it?
-
Are they playing fucking scramble with Panini stickers or something? I hope Pardoo has mixed in a couple of his 94-95 collection just to mix things up. "Andy Sinton!? Get me the phone, Derek!" Will no doubt try to sign Iain Dowie man!
