  1. Cheers, i'll look in to that if Arnold Clark are asking too much (which they will be!)
  2. Ha ha, typical woman type response, the mentality of a psychpath. Haha defo!
  3. I'll have a look and see if the chip's melted or not... it was in a right old state when we finally got it out of the toaster. my toast wasn't the best neither and I didnt realise until i'd eaten a slice
  4. Timpsons did my coded key but it would only unlock the door, it wouldn't work with the ignition due to the immobilizer, I had to go to Ford to get mine done but I didn't have the red key that you need to use to take copies from. How much did it cost? i have the spare key but its not the one with the remote locking as thats the one the wife "tidied" in to the toaster... and then had the nerve to blame me as I'd been the one who left the key in the kitchen
  5. Good plan... I finally have an excuse to buy that Lambo i've been after lol I'll get the wife to ring Arnold Clark and see how much they charge.
  6. The wife decided to balance the car key on top of the toaster while she cleaned on Saturday... she forgot about it and it fell in the toaster... This morning I ended up with lightly toasted bread topped with a lovely melted plastic coating Anyone know where I can get a replacement? By all accounts I believe they are very expensive so dont want to go to Ford garage to get one Anyone have any suggestions?
  7. Haha cheers I think the thing that maybe throws it off a bit is that the sea at the top of the pic isnt blue too... I wasnt sure if I should make that blue too but in the end stuck by my original idea.
  8. Yeah just the reflection, wanted to try a slightly different thing there... saw something in an art gallery that was a photograph of something and it looked a certain way, but when you read about it it was just all camera trickery... the theme was "the camera never lies" being a falsehood, so I went for something similar with leaving the actual "real" image colour but the water and reflection in colour... bit of a convoluted explanation lol The 3rd one isnt white balance, I fecked around with the colours in photoshop to try and make it more greeny blue... might not be to everyone's tastes admittedly but was just messing around really as dont have much interest in taking pictures of Scotswood bridge lol
  9. Had some spare time the other day, and without a model (or willing wife) to shoot decided to head down to the river near the Metro Centre and take some pics and have a general mooch about to see what was down there... Thought it would be a good to practice my landscape photography although not sure if these would be classed as landscape shots exactly (well bar the bridge shot)? Anyway here's the results of my trip:
  10. Think you've really hit a new level with the recent pics mate... Really excellent!!! Good subject matter, composition and use of filters, some really top drawer stuff
  11. Aye I'm prepared for it to be a handful like, but tbh all young labradors are, he'll just need to be trained properly, it won't be easy but I'm prepared for the hard work. All dogs can be trained it's just a matter of knowing what to do & sticking with it. Would love a brand new pup but it really wouldn't be fair on one as the wife and I are out of the house all day at work, so thats why we're getting a slightly older one even though we know will already have picked up bad habits
  12. Right i've settled on Landmark and booked a table. Cheers for all the suggestions... can we maybe keep this thread going with restaurant recommendations so other people can use it if stuck for some place to eat? I would highly recommend Little Saigon (been for her b'day before which is only reason I havent booked it this time) El Coto (unless its busy and then its chaos!)
  13. Thats a shame... never been, where is it and what type of food? It's an Italian on Jesmond Road just near the punchbowl if you know it. Menu is still available online and is dirt cheap pizzas are like £4.95 and like I say, if it is open would highly reccommend it but I fear it may not be Shame when good restaurants bite the dust! :-(
  14. Had a look on-line and it looks nice! Italian is no good for me though unfortunately as can't eat dairy... so really limits what I can have to pretty much nothing
  15. Thats a shame... never been, where is it and what type of food?
  16. Cheers for the suggestions, not sure about Paradiso for this occasion but might check it out in future as looks good. Should have said italian isn't good as I cant eat cheese so other suggestion is out but thanks anyway. Anyone been to Noosh or Landmark before? Landmark is lovely and has some very different curtain draped booths to eat in that will make her feel really special. Virtual tour here Sounds nice and she loves Chinese so might be a good option http://www.landmarkoriental.co.uk/index.asp?textpage=home
  17. Cool, i heard the portion sizes are pretty small in blackfriars though? I'm a bit of a gluten so need to have a decent sized plate of scran lol Or have I been mis-informed? Is Nudos the one opposite Bangkok cafe? Had a lush meal in there once, but then 2 shockingly bad ones so never been back. Really liked it the 1st time and its got nice decor inside
  18. Haha sorry all good suggestions tbh... Turns out she loves paradiso and her boss is taking her for lunch there on Friday... So shows how much I know lol

  20. Aye love el coto but we went there on Saturday with a load of friends (yeah she's totaly milking it lol) Actually had a shite night there which is unusual but no food, wrong food and angry rude managers don't equal a good night
  21. Taking the wife out for lunch as a surprise for her birthday and need suggestions on good restaurants. Had planned to take her to The Silk Rooms (2 courses £12 each) but they aren't open on that day. Need somewhere cool and a bit swish looking but doesn't cost an arm and a leg as taking her on a shopping trip & then to see John Bishop at the arena so finances are a bit tight
  22. Yeah the people on here just ain't commited enough if u ask me
  23. It had crossed my mind so if you do know where theres one that suits his requirements PM me and I'll twock it for him. Just spoke to her sister, none left I'm afraid. Her sister works in a kennels for abandoned dogs and there is a a cross Weimraner/Labrador in , 2 years old, meant to be lovely, free to good home. Thanks for looking in to it mate it's much appreciated! Going to have a look at a 7 month old chocolate lab on Sunday... Think the missus has her heart set on it even though we've never met it lol! Woman sent us some pics and tbh he is immensely cute! If that doesn't work out could be interested in the 2 year old cross you mentioned, will give u a shout if we want to have a look. Cheers again
  24. Haha yeah its annoying when that happens! I think sometimes you have to just try and make it so they are both not quite straight, but of equal amounts to keep the image balanced. I've had a few like that before.
