  1. Can anyone with info on public transport dirsuption and road closures please post the info in here? Apparently buses to Newburn from town (no. 22) isn't running all the way, I think its only going as far as the industrial park and then turning round. Also heard some buses over in Gateshead were off but not sure which one's unfortunately
  2. Took some nice landscape pics of the Priory too and will put them up soon
  3. I like the leaf shot... nice contrast between the red leaf and white snow! Thanks for the recommendation of Finchale Priory BTW, braved the 40 mile round trip in the pretty bad weather on Saturday to do a shoot there... was totaly worth it! Really beautiful in the snow!
  4. Took a portrait shoot over at Finchale Priory on Saturday thanks to the JawD's recommendation. It was beautiful when we turned up but I had to contend with serious blizzards at times which made things a little challening... anyway here's some pics:
  5. She's looking fine today, got like a 60's hair-do. I love this clip of her shows she's got a sense of humour and starts staring at Pallister's cock. She's no Millie though. I'm a Georgie fan. That Irish bird on ssn is nice too. Anyone else think that pic looks like she's been strapped to a chair with that white belt?
  6. I'm going to stop commenting on the snow as everytime I post that its snowing it bloody stops!
  7. Been snowing in town for about 25 mins now... decent sized flakes and quite heavy! Woman at work walked to top of Northumberland Street from the college... didnt take an umberalla with her
  8. Nice one JawD, thanks for the feedback! I need to try more landscape photo's I think... It's a bit daunting with trying to get good depth of field whilst keeping the exposure right, but that will come with practice I guess. Glad this one worked out well though.
  9. Awesome capture of colours. There could be some suggestion that you've got too much of the sky in order to get the moon in the shot but the gradient from the deep blue through the turquoise to the lighter shades more than compensates for it IMO. A great photo. Thanks Shack... like I said I wasn't too sure about it but now i'm glad I took it
  10. I took this landscape shot too... thought it would be cool as it has the moon in it, but not 100% sure about it... what do u think?
  11. Forget my last post as its just stopped and there's blue sky breaking through... looks like i'm here for the duration
  12. Its coming down pretty heavily at the moment in town... keeping my fingers crossed I get the nod to go home soon. Not cause i'm scared of the snow... i'm just a skiving twat lol!
  13. Top one's really good... you have a good eye for angles... certainly a lot better than mine! Did you deliberatley place the image so it went from the top right corner to the bottom left? I think this is the kind of thing I need to start learning. 2nd one is really good too, good use of lines to draw you in to the picture and the focal point of the plane
  14. I like this. Nice idea. I'd maybe have tried to see more detail in the castle. Maybe a closer shot of the castle but with the same idea. Yeah, canny. Nice colours also. Cheers! I took a few different versions of this pic, some closer in but this one seemed to work better than those. The sun was very low which I think helped give it some interesting colours, and yeah you know me there was some fannying about in photoshop too lol!
  15. Ok, not keen on the middle one. I think the shadow draws your attention away from the main subject. There's a lot of contrast as well to a sun hit very bright wall and your lass in a black coat. Big shadow on the floor. The sun itself is largely to blame. Other two though I do like, especially the bottom one. Good sense of movement and makes the picture more interesting. Also even the little things like in the top shot she has her head tilted which is better (imo) than a straight posed shot. Not sure if I'm complimenting you or your lass here Cheers for the feedback... i'd been doing a bit of reading up on portrait shots and it said to tilt the shoudlers, to make the pic more interesting... she titled her head instead but I think it had the same effect. I'll pass on your appreciation of her for you ;-) Some interesting points about the 2nd pic... most people i've shown love that pic and think the shadow adds to the pic as it gives it more interest... I guess maybe personal taste? The sun was a problem though i'll admit... thought that it would make the pics better at that time of the day, but I think for shooting people it actually made it a lot harder.
  16. Yeah woman at my work just tried to get to town from stanley and it took her 3 hours! Nightmare!
  17. Also decided to go for a bit or a more arty farty shot too:
  18. Happened to me first week in December last year. If your getting a new one, watch out for the thieving bastard quoting £3000 plus. I managed to get mine done for £1500. Horrible though having no heating or water when it's cold. Cheers for the advice. I woman at my work recently paid £5k for her new boiler the stupid bint lol! I think I know whats wrong with it so have already bought the replacement part off the internet so they can't try and rob me... tbh tho I think the guy is pretty honest as used him once before.
  19. Great... my boiler packed in at the weekend... freezing me tits off at the moment... and now snow!!!
  20. Its been a while since I made them but I think about half full should be fine. I used to cook toad in the hole sometimes and think I used to fill the dish half full of mixture. Put a tray underneath to catch any overspill and put far enough down the oven so that have chance to rise without touching the top. Also DO NOT open the oven until they are ready or they'll not rise cheers (if its right ) Haha I apologise in advance if its not!

  22. Took some more photo's of the wife this time at druridge bay: Light was a bit tricky as was as the sun was coming down, stripped a load of colour out of the 1st two to give them a slightly different feel and to bring out the best of the image (in my opinion) Feedback as always appreciated.
  23. Nice one! Never heard of it before but looks a good spot! If the weathers good i'll use that location... if not i'll stick to Prudhoe Castle as its closer to home. Have bookmarked it though as will defo use it at some point if I dont this weekend. Cheers mate
  24. Where's this shot taken mate? I'm going to be doing a portrait shoot at the weekend and it looks like a good spot.
