Try searching for "roy keane walks his dog", I'm sure you can guess what it suggests.

With the net assets of the club being worth less than £20M I think you have to assume that Ashley's £200M investment is based on future tv/internet earnings which dwarf ticket/merchandise.....especially once you drop out of the top flight. Asset stripping just isn't viable for a Premier league club where all the value rests upon your position in the table. Is it? I think conspiracy theorising credits Ashley with something other than incompetence, which i think is a stretch. incompetence or asset stipping either way we are fucked. As i said tho, i can't see how anyone who can make the money he has can be that incompetent. The whole footballing world knows the shit were and what needs to be done about it.So why does he just sit there doing nothing? That can't be incompetence,i don't know what the fuck it is but its not just incompetence.I don't believe he is just burying his head in the sand either,so i'm at a loss as to second guess what the fucker is up to. How does Boris Johnson end up in charge of London? How does Gordon Brown end up in charge of the UK? How does George Bush end up in charge of the US? I'm being faceatious, he's clearly an intelligent and talented businessman, but he's made some tragic mistakes at the club. Mainly appointing Llambias and backing Wise over Keegan. I honestly believe he'd be willing to spend the money, he's not sat in a swimming pool of money rubbing his hands together, he HAS spent canny sums in previous windows but I don't think he'll pay over the odds for anyone. The club has sunk so low, there's not a manager or player that would want to come close, even if we offered full whack....and I thought we'd reached our lowest ebb on that score after Allardyce went. He's a one-trick pony who came up with a good idea, I haven't seen anything else to suggest that he's a good business man.

Preparing for Kinnear's resignation.

I don't think that a blog from a trainee journalist quite qualifies as the national press.

It just puzzles me that if a man is prepared to invest £234 million in a business then why not got that extra yard and throw in another £20 million to dramatically increase the chances of staying in the PL next season and maintaining the huge revenues that come with it.

Can someone work out where the 18 points are coming from?
ewerk replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye but we shouldn't have to be 'pulling it out of the bag'. -
Don't believe anything until you actually see a new player in the shirt, they bullshitted Keegan so it would hardly be a surprise if they are doing the same to Kinnear.

Didn't see your post as I was posting too but in the interview I read I remember him saying that a movie would be a prequel which would feature Junior, Livia, Johnny, etc when they were young, i.e. he wasn't interested in doing anything that involved the cast from the series. It's probably the only way to do it given that the kids and Chris etc. have obviously aged since the first series but to make a prequel with those few characters doesn't really make it The Sopranos any more than any other gangster film. It may be best just to leave it as it is rather than run the risk of ruining it.

Also, that article is 10 months old.

A prequel with the full cast may have been decent, not sure how a sequel will work.

Redknapp doing wonders for Bent's confidence with those remarks yesterday.

So has Barry Fry, it doesn't mean that he is good enough to be our manager. Though right now we couldn't expect to attract anyone better given the mockery of a setup we have at the club. Quite correct but because Barry Fry hasn't managed at the highest level it is a moot point Change Barry Fry to Dave Bassett then, the point still stands.
-
Of course we won't but Wise will fool Kinnear into thinking that he's doing everything possible to sign him and then tell him that the deal fell through at the last minute and turn round and sign his own player.

Just because we're signing these young foreign players doesn't necessarily mean they're any good and will make the step up to the first team.

You honestly couldn't make it up.

I think they knew exactly what they were doing when hiring JFK. What was that? Hiring someone who would be so grateful for a job that he'd gladly be their mouthpiece and put up with their shit? But what about his management skills? He's better than Capello ffs!
