Vidic and Ronaldo. Gamba just got one back. Oh and Rooney has just restored the 2 goal lead.

Watching this Man U game at the minute and Collymore is really taking the piss with the cliche bingo.
  3. And to think that when he took over that most of us were looking forward to having a sensible, low-profile owner.
  4. I do. It's a piece of piss to get money out of publications in the UK for defamation and other stuff of that ilk. If he has been stitched up then he'd be a fool not to take them to court and make a couple of grand out of them. Didn't the NOTW admit a while back that their 'interview' with him was a complete fabrication?
  5. I like this idea actually, put a relegation release clause of £10m or so in his contract, should keep him happy £10M?? Not a chance. If we're relegated with the fifth highest wage bill in the league we'll not be able to get more than a pack of backy for ANY of them. Leeds got some decent wedge for their players when they went down iirc. Looking at who they sold, they cleared out everyone before they went down. £7M for Smith, £3.6M for Milner, £5M for Kewell and a couple of others. After relegation they let loads go for free (Matteo, Barmby, Harte, Mills, Hignett, Duberry, Deane, Pressman etc). The only person they got anything for was Viduka (£4.5M). They only ended up getting £3m for Kewell didn't they? After his agent and him took a huge slice of it. BTW is he playing in Turkey nowadays?
  6. Pretty much my feelings on it, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being.
  7. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you don't like it then don't use it. Dunno why you're getting so wound up about it Foppy.
  8. Indeed. Could it just be that IE appears to be less safe because there is more effort put into finding these weaknesses because it's the most widely used browswe? No, it's just shit, and Microsoft design it purposely to be shit and expose the public to as many attacks as possible. Microsoft prefer to ignore these things too and leave as many people exposed as possible. They prefer their users to move than investigate a fix. [/fop] A scarily accurate prediction of his response.

Ummm yeah, slightly (or totally) inaccurate.

This is why Viduka should have been given a run out on Sunday ahead of Ameobi. I'd prefer to start Viduka but we can't do that when he's not played a minute of football since last season. BTW, what's wrong with playing him in the reserves?
  12. (never mind that it is rather a huge and dangerous "one" flaw) What did you expect him to say? 'Aye it's shite, I use Firefox meself'.
  13. It doesn't matter who the manager is if we're winning IMO. I wouldn't get rid just because he doesn't have a "big name". If the players are playing for him and winning we'd be mad to have more upheaval for the sake of it. We've had more of that than we deserve. Look at Ramos at Spurs, you'd think he was nailed on to do a good job but what happened? The very top managers won't look at us in all honesty and so we're left with taking a gamble on who? Deschamps? Houllier? Ketsbaia? I'm not saying that one game and one good result should give Kinnear the job in the long term, but I don't see the advantage of not getting behind him and not taking him seriously. He's doing much better than Big Sam or Souness IMO and we *could* get a bit of confidence back if we keep being hard to score against while still playing some decent football. If we go on a fantastic run until the end of the season then maybe he should get a proper crack at it. However, don't forget what happened with Roeder, most of us knew deep down that he wasn't good enough for the job but he got it on the basis of a very good run of results but couldn't sustain it the next season. If we have an option to replace him with someone likely to do a better job then we should do so.
  14. It's wonderful the difference that one game makes on peoples' opinions. While Kinnear has surprised us all by not being completely fucking awful he is still far from being a 'good' manager imo. If we can replace him in the summer with someone we could say with a degree of certainty is a better manager then we should do so, I'd hope that the board are searching for alternatives to take over at the end of the season.
  15. I don't think he did tbh-I think all sources seem to suggest it was an amicable agreement. If it was anything but you can guarantee the papers would have gone hell for leather dishing it out for months. You reckon Madonna wanted to give him the money? I'd say it's more to do with the fact that McCartney is a 'national treasure' and Maddona a 'crazy American cult-loving nut'. Either way Ritchie has walked away with much more than Mills hopped off with and hasn't had a bad word written about him.
  16. So is this £50m in addition to the money he's made himself? I love the way Peg-leg was branded as a money grabbing mackem whore yet no one says a word about Ritchie looking for a huge payoff.
  17. The Mido chanter should've used that in his defence.
  18. Do you reckon Keegan would have agreed to him being sold if he hadn't been assured that a replacement had been lined up? Well he agreed to sell Andy Cole without having a replacement lined up and even used that as an example in the press conference about getting the right player, that's without mentioning that Jonas is a far better player who's playing wide right now. The Cole transfer was in a completely different time and situation, Keegan had been banging on all summer about needing a stronger squad, to say that he would agree to selling Milner knowing he wasn't going to be replaced is absolutely ridiculous.

  20. A bit of an exaggeration like.
  21. 50p for 100 cans? Well that sounds well worth it.
