    Joey Barton

If we can't get rid (which is very likely) then we've no option but to keep him and treat him like any other player.
  2. Hasn't Mort came out and said that we'll only be bringing in young players? Obviously he's sanctioned the bid for Brown since then but I can't see us having a whole lot to spend.

Racist. Four minutes too late, better luck next time. That doesn't change the fact that you came across as thick. How exactly?

  5. If we get our money back and have a suitable replacement lined up then sell sell sell.
  6. Watched a few last night: The Day After Tomorrow - Well at least it's reignited my desire to punch Jake Sillysurname very hard in the face. Back to the Future - Retro classic. A Very Long Engagement - Very decent tale, strangely called Fann Linn by the TV station so I had no idea what it was, however instantly watchable when I saw that the gorgeous Audrey Tautou was in it.
  7. Click me! Click me! Actually don't click it if you're at work, or in the company of small children, or are of a sensitive nature.
  8. Apparently we're getting electricity soon, too! Well Newcastle is an "isolated area" according to Louise Taylor.
  9. It's probably worth a shout over playing Milner, Martins or Geremi out on the right anyway.
  10. Not that we have loads of alternatives but you could always move Zog to LW and play Duff on the right now he's fit. Tbh I'd consider Geremi as an alternative although he's off to Africa now. At least he can deliver a decent ball in and he won't fanny about hopelessly before losing the ball. Has he ever had any success playing on the right?
  11. IMO they only work if both roles are clearly defined and both parties are comfortable with the situation. However the DoF role has hardly had a lot of success in English football.
  12. Tbh I think this would be the perfect role, I know it's difficult to assess the effect he's having behind the scenes but he appears to be making sensible changes to bring us into the 21st century, it's his tactics, coaching and team selection that most people have a problem with. Unfortunately there's no way in hell he'd agree to move upstairs and let someone else take over imo.
  13. Ah right, so it's not the exam board you'll be working for then.

Just opened my blinds and there's a white out here.
  15. He was in the papers the other day saying what a great job the Newcastle role is, pity we didn't get him when he was available though I'm sure his wages would've been too much. Interesting to hear Dunne talking about how well organised he has them and how they all know exactly where to position themselves when in possession so they always have a passing option, unlike us.
  16. FFS I thought you meant from the club!
  17. It'll be interesting to see whether he'll play any more part in the first team while this is hanging over him and us.
  18. Shearer's name is already being constantly linked with the job, bringing him in as a coach would only add fuel to the fire with more pressure on Sam that Shearer is just waiting to take his place after the first bad run of results. Plus if it goes tits up Shearer will be linked with that failure whether he is to blame or not.
  19. Aye but he hasn't been found guilty of either yet, he's not a flight risk, not particularly likely to interfere with witnesses and isn't exactly a danger to the general public, it seems unnecessary to me.
  20. What's the reason for refusing the lovable scouse scamp bail? It's not like he's a flight risk.
  21. "at home" If they were that good at defending you wouldn't need that qualifier would you? The topic being discussed was about City shutting up shop at home, hence the "at home" part. Theyºve also conceded less goals than us away from home as well if it makes you feel any better.

    FAO refs

    Unsporting behaviour?
  23. When City try and be defensive they can do it effectively, hence the fact that theyºve conceded less than half the number of goals at home as we have. If we were playing defensively yet doing it well then Fat Sam wouldnºt be hearing half as many complaints.
