I don't understand what he tried to do with signings that was so great? He spent too long looking which meant we were beaten to the punch or quoted unrealistic prices and then appeared to have no backup plans. I was impressed with the way he talked about an overhaul of the scouting network and a possible DoF but these ideas came to nothing, possibly due to a lack of support from Freddy as you say. But I think these things weren't nearly as important as recruiting the right players and installing a competent backroom team, Roeder fell down on both these issues, coupled with an inability to pick a good team or use any form of effective tactics meant that the bad points hugely outweighed his good ones.

Since I've upgraded to Opera 9.02, every time I try and insert a quote it comes up with a pop up box to enter the quote into rather than just inserting the tags into the message. When I paste the quote into the box it removes all the formatting which is a pain. Any ideas how to make it just insert the tags?

Obviously it's fantastic that the bomb never went off and that no one was hurt but how fucking inept are these terrorists? You've got a bomb in the back of a car, all he had to do was drive it to its location and detonate it and he couldn't even do that. Most of the other plots are foiled because the police get wind of them because they appear to want to tell the world and his wife about what they're planning. If they really wanted to set off a bomb then they should do it in tight knit circles and use readily available materials, fucking amateurs.

No one has came out and given exact figures but my understanding is that he can leave this summer for £9m, I'm not sure whether the release clause is still effective in January but the way people are talking it seems that it is.

I had one of those interviews the other day. It was just an average interview until he saw one of the modules I'd studied at uni and then began asking me about it, following up with "I'm only asking because I'm actually head of the UK division of....", at which point he proceeded to spent 20 minutes telling me all about himself and how great his department was and how they had successfully differentiated from their competitors, all of which I readily agreed were fantastic ideas and showed his amazing leadership and vision. No but gram has a point, The Verve are making new music so as a band they are contributing new material, the Spice Girls are just travelling the world miming to their old hits, they're not taking the trouble to create anything new.
