Despite Italian football's technical superiority over England, their league remains incredibly boring.

what are the odds for Benitez being the next permanent manager of Real Madrid I wonder.

He's used the Champions League as a "get out of jail card" in the past.

Without the workshop PC I'd truly believe I might become so bored I'd be driven to find some work to do.

There were some very strong rumours kicking around that he'd gone yesterday.

Glad to see you aren't making a rash snap-shot decision on the Italian Champions and runaway league leaders.

"Mourinho's mentor, Sir Bobby Robson, offered him the assistant manager's role at Newcastle United. Such was Robson's desperation for Mourinho to join him he offered to step down after two years in charge and hand over the reins to Mourinho. Mourinho turned the offer down, saying he knew Robson would never step down at the club he loved"

It can be as deep and well acted and well directed as you like, but simple fact is for such a highly rated series fuck all happens, it's like raving about a Van Gogh by saying you admire the frame.

I pity her for having the disease, it's sad to think of someone so young dying, and it's sad for her two little boys, but that's the my only thoughts on the subject other than it's a sad example of our celebrity culture that Sir Bobby's fight hasn't had more of a profile, not only is his case terminal, but he is tirelessly working to raise money for his charity and doing all with the highest dignity.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/7904698.stm?lss Magpies fans in protest at owner Hundreds of football fans packed Newcastle city centre for a protest rally against the club's owners. Fans signed a petition demanding changes at the top, and called on sports tycoon Mike Ashley to appoint new directors. Police stood by at the demonstration at Grey's Monument. Members of the Newcastle United Supporters Club (NUSC) staged the rally before the team's Premiership clash with Everton on Sunday. They urged fans to strike a balance between making their grievances heard and supporting the team. NUSC chairman Malcolm Shiels said: "We have got to try and get the balance right between supporting the team that we love and still letting the management know we are not happy with what they are doing. "The mood is not good; it is one of deep mistrust; being taken for granted, and being kept in the dark."

Are you arguing we should have given Roeder, Allardyce and Souness longer ? Personally, they've appointed a good manager, we on the other hand have appointed a succession of muppets.

Honestly, if it wasn't for his miss I'd have questioned if he was even on the pitch.
