Newcastle boss given green light to spend more
Jimbo replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
To be fair when Bramble was at the club there were always plenty of cries of "jesus christ almighty" when he was in action. -

Kieron Dyer failed a West Ham medical in the countdown to his aborted £6million transfer. While the clubs have been squabbling in the past week over Newcastle's tactics in trying to hike the price by £2million, the Sunday Mirror can reveal the incredible medical background to the deal. The 28-year-old midfielder's career has been littered with injuries. Dyer underwent a stringent medical after agreeing a four-year contract with the Hammers. The Sunday Mirror is aware of the specific problem that was spotted but has chosen not to make this public. Dyer's case was referred by West Ham to a consultant who analysed the player's medical history. The consultant advised West Ham that in his opinion the Dyer deal could be completed and the England star would be able to fulfil a four-year contract. Hammers manager Alan Curbishley hopes a deal can still be agreed but there have been no further talks.

Agreed. I'm not someone that has a constant supply of alcohol in the house, but I do sometimes fancy a beer at home and will pop to the supermarket and buy what I fancy, I like a nice drop of wine too, but often drink wine as an aid to sleep especially if I am on a quick turn around from night shifts to day shifts, but I do think I could happily live without alcohol.

What is it with Rozehnal and his socks ?? at first I thought he was wearing white socks with black stripes but it seems he's got some weired strapping thing going on, its not the first time he's worn them like that.

I hope not, chav brand. I'd like to stick with Adidas but if not I could handle Umbro. I hope not too but Ashley owns the brand lock stock and barrel and he'll coin it in if they make our shirts. We could wear Donnay socks too and Dunlop boots.....

I'm of course very happy but I can't get too excited yet, remember the win at west Ham early last season, that turned out to be a fluke, so might this, lets see where we are after a few matches.
-
I still think our shirts will be made by Lonsdale when our Adidas contract expires.

Nobby and Shola coming on.
-
who'd have predicted we'd be saying that at the beginning of the day? To be fair we are usually saying that when we are playing at Old Trafford, followed by "we need a 5th" and "bugger we need a 6th".
-
We need a 4th.

Not a bad overhead kick from a player that can't do the basics
